My thoughts:
I liked this book more than I thought I would. I generally love P. C. Cast's work, but the plot to this one didn't really catch my eye. I did try to start it a few times, but it was so slow at the beginning. It was only after being guilted into reading it by someone that I finally did read it.
P. C. Cast loves writing from multiple points of view, and it works really well in this book. I actually briefly got to speak with P. C. at a recent book signing about this book and she said the next would be diving into the cannibal tribe a lot more, which has me super excited. Also, I got to watch the amazing P. C. Cast fangirl hardcore when I asked her about the book. So. Excite.
Anyways, in this book you get to see three tribes in a post apocalyptic world filled with magic. The main character is, of course, the illegitimate child of a Moon Woman and a man from a tribe that worships the sun. Her sun heritage allows her to bond with a pup, which is a huge deal in this world. Her Moon Woman heritage allows her to call down the power of the moon to heal those around her. After being hidden for years in plain site by her mother she is finally coming into her powers and a true understanding of who she really is.

A lot more happens in the book, but do you really want me to spoil everything? ;-P

Would I recommend this book? Yeah. I definitely suggest everyone at least try to read it. Though, warning, the book is slow to get into and has many slow parts that I found hard to get through. Not as hard as Paranormalcy, but enough to be mentioned.
