Ezra looked over to Sabine who was re-reading her vows. It was now only 3 days, technically 2 days 14 hours and 7 minutes, before the wedding. He couldn't help but continue counting down the days, hours, minutes, and, when it would be the day before, seconds. He and Sabine had already read their vows 18,864 times. And that was the month after they announced their engagement. They were more excited to be with each other than ever with anyone else in their lives. But they were more nervous than they had ever been, too.
They were also mulling over the strange message they had received the day prior: Chimaera Complete. They had several ideas of what the Chimaera was, ranging from an experimental energy source, to a real life Death Star. Their suspicions for the latter option were, although unrealistic and not possible, stirred when they heard that Wedge had escaped Seagate. It got them thinking that maybe, just maybe, he would turn on Hydra. But they didn't expect him to do that after what he did to them.
The next day
Ezra woke up and saw that Sabine was still asleep. He decided to get up to work out. As he turned around to get his workout gear, he heard Sabine yawn.
"Going to work out already?" she asked, "It's 5 in the morning."
he looked at the clock again and saw that it was 5:07. No one was permitted to work out until 6 at the earliest.
"Guess not anymore," he said as he got back into bed.
"Relax, nothing bad could happen between now and the day after tomorrow."
"Other than the events of The Day After Tomorrow happening." he said sarcastically.
They both chuckled a little. Ezra settled back down and closed his eyes.
When he opened them, it was 7:32. He saw that Sabine had the changing barrier up and decided he'd better get dressed, too. Once he finished he saw Sabine sitting cross legged obviously waiting for him to be done. He offered her his hand, and they exited the room together.
Elsewhere
Thrawn had been analyzing the tactics that S.H.I.E.L.D. had employed for the last 5 days and came up with holes in the strategy that could either be easily exploited, or would require the best pilot, Wedge, to exploit. Although he didn't know exactly what the size of the S.H.I.E.L.D. fleet was, so he spent every waking hour studying the size variations, occasionally being visited by either of the other two sect leaders.
He was on the last variation when he remembered two things that S.H.I.E.L.D. had that they undoubtedly would bring out. The original Zephyr and the helicarrier. The Zephyr was the only plausible threat of the two. Only because the helicarrier was a carrier first and foremost. He then returned to the only strategy that had a pair of super airships, and made his battle plan for each fleet size.
Within the next hour he was ready to tell his plan to the leaders.
