Chapter 10: After School

"That's a wrap! Super work!" All Might declared, "You really stepped up to the plate. And we didn't have any major injuries except for Midoriya. You should be proud. Excellent first day of training all around."

"It's nice to hear some encouraging words after our homeroom class," Asui said, "Mr. Aizawa was kinda a buzz-kill."

Everyone seemed to nod their heads in agreement.

"I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my alma mater. That's all for now folks, I should go and check on young Midoriya's progress! Now watch how a pro exits, like he's got somewhere to be!" All Might exclaimed.

He dashed away, leaving a cloud of dust in his trail. Everyone gasped.

"Okay, you guys, that is a hero," Kaminari awed.
"Aw man, I'll never be able to run that fast," Ojiro said, defeated.
"Super Awesome," Mineta breathed.
"Well, we should get back to class now," Yaoyorozu brought up.
"Yeah, I guess so," You agreed.

Everyone went back to change into their normal school outfits. You wanted to walk back with Bakugo but got swarmed by a few of your classmates.

"Hey, (L/n), so what else can you do with that Quirk of yours?" Kirishima asked.
"Yeah, that water's amazing," Asui added.
"Well, I mean, I can just move it around, that's about it," You honestly answer, a little flustered at the attention.
"Your moves were amazing! Your dodging was crazy!" Ashido exclaimed.
"You danced wonderfully, madame" Aoyama complimented.
"Thanks guys, but Bakugo and Todoroki were pretty great too," You pointed out.
"Yeah, but you're the easiest one to approach since Bakugo's crazy scary and Todoroki isn't much of a talker," Kirishima explained.
"M-hm!" Everyone seemed to say with a nod.

Once you had changed into your normal school uniform, you went back into the classroom with everyone else. You sat in your spot next to Bakugo. He was staring out the window, head turned away from everyone.

"Hey, Baka-go-" You started, but you got interrupted.

Mr. Aizawa came into the classroom and started talking.

"Okay, we'll be going over the training results. Pay attention," He stated.

Wanting to keep up your good-girl image, you reluctantly turned away from Bakugo and faced the teacher.

School finally ended and you got up to leave. The other students were going to stay in the classroom to hang out. They tried to stop you, but you told them your mom would be mad if you were home late. They understood and easily let you go. When Bakugo tried to leave, they gave him a harder time. You figured you'd talk to him once you both exited the school. You approached the entrance gates of the school. You decided to lean on the outside of the gates to wait for Bakugo.

"Kacchan!" You heard a voice shout.
'That sounds like Midoriya!' You exclaimed to yourself.

You peeked around the gate to see Midoriya and Bakugo. You listened to their conversation.

"What?" Bakugo slowly and menacingly growls.
"I have to tell you something. Maybe then, you'll understand what's been going on. I wasn't hiding my Quirk from you. It was given to me by someone else, recently -But I can't tell you who I got it from, so don't ask!"
"It's was given to him, huh? That's such an awful lie. Does he really think Baka-gou's dumb enough to fall for it?" You quietly whispered to yourself.
Midoriya continued, "Sounds crazy, I know. It's like something from out of a comic book. Only it's real. The thing is, I don't really have any control over this power yet. I haven't figured out how to make it my own, but I'm trying. That's why... I didn't want to use it against you in the exercise. But in the end, it was the only way that I had a chance at winning," Midoriya explained.
