Chapter 17: Back

Christine stood at the Fat Lady's portrait for a while. He couldn't get int, she didn't know the password. "Let me in," Christine ordered her.

"No," the portrait retaliated. "I'm not letting anybody in."

Christine got frustrated and whipped out her wand. She pointed it at the picture. "I'll use this," she threatened. "And trust me, it works on pictures." Christine then slowly put down her wand and thought. What had she become? A monster, it seemed like.

Christine took deep breaths and looked at the Fat Lady. "I just want my friend Kamile, I mean River," she caught herself. "Just call them or something."

All of a sudden, there were footsteps behind Christine. She turned around and saw Remus an Kamile walking towards her.

The two were laughing and mooning over each other. "Kamile, it's time to go back," Christine told her.

Kamile shook her head. "No," she testified. "I don't want to. I want to stay here with Remus."

"Do you really want to stay here?" she questioned. "All by yourself? Trapped here?"

Kamile hurried Remus towards the entrance to the Gryffindor common room. "I'll be there in a second," she said to him. Kamile then looked at Christine. "I really like him, Christine. He's so much better than Draco and Oliver." Kamile's face then dropped when her mind shifted to someone else. Someone she's never really thought of before. Some ginger, related to Christine. Some ginger named Fred.

Kamile looked at Christine in the eyes. It was like sudden realization. She knew the guy she wanted. Not Remus. "Let's go," she insisted.

"Are you sure?" Christine wondered. "You just said you'd-"

"I said let's go," she repeated herself.

Christine then set the time turner and they appeared back in 1996, where they should be. It's not the exact date, it's more like the first day get back from Christmas Break. The two looked at each other in their pajamas and quickly ran to their common room to find things to wear.
