Letting Go

The blood streamed down my wrist,

And I hoped to never hear them again.

All they did was scream at me,

And yet I stuck around.

How foolish,

Yet,

Now I'm letting go.

I'm letting go from the world around me.

No need for tear stains,

I have blood stains on my clothes.

Beaten, battered, and bruised,

How confusing it is that I lived.

No more,

No more. Not after today.

I'm letting go from the world around me.

No need for me,

No need for my voice,

No need for my presence.

No need for me to be around,

I'm just a bother.

I'm letting go from the world around me.

Don't try to cheer me up,

No hope for me now.

They talked to me,

Said 'just let it go'.

So I am.

I'm letting go from the world around me.
