*A/N: I'm sorry it took so long for an update but I have vacation and shit and I'm a lazy bitch, anyways, I hope you enjoy this new part!*

Jack got his finger off the button of the doorbell. Shit, that was way too long... he thought while he took a step back. He looked up at the big mansion when Bruce opened the door.
"Hey." Bruce said after a minute of Jack staring at the house.
"Oh h-hey." He said softly and looked at Bruce with a little gently smile on his face. "Come in!" Bruce laughed and took Jack by the hand. Jack noticed it got a bit harder to breathe but followed the bigger man.

"So uhm... what do I have to do? What's my first job to do for you, boss?" Jack awkwardly sat on the couch, trying not to blush.
"You can call me Bruce. And you can help me to find a nice mask, I have a masquerade ball tomorrow." Bruce smiled and got a box full of masks.
Jack looked down at the box, he has never seen so many masks. He grabbed a white mask that would cover half of your face, he handed it over to Bruce and smiled. "Try this one?"

Bruce put on the mask and looked at Jack, he was a little afraid Jack would immediately recognize him... but he didn't, instead of that he shook his head and grabbed another mask but put it back again.
"You have really bad masks..." then his eye fell on a black mask that was covered in glitter, it lay on the bottom of the box and was bat shaped. "You should really try this one!" Jack smiled.
Bruce swallowed and took the mask.

He knew it wasn't smart to do this but this was even dumber. When he put it on Jack fell silent, his mouth fell open and he just stared at the other man.
"Is it uh... is it that ugly?" Bruce tried to break the silent.
"You gotta be kidding me..." Jack whispered under his breath while shaking his head in disbelief.  "You.... but...."
Bruce nodded slightly and let out a sigh.
"But.... why.... why.... you knew who I was..... why did you still invite me?"

Bruce put away the mask. "I uh... I wanted to get to know you better..."
Jack just looked at him before he stood up and turned around to walk away, Bruce put his hand on Jacks shoulder.  "Please... stay... I'm your boss after all..." Jack pushed the hand off of his shoulder and looked Bruce in the eyes.
He shook his head and said "I quit..." and then walked away.

"Stop!... I just want to hang out with you without you're being... the Joker... you know... like a normal person..."
Those words felt like knifes that'd leave big gross scars even if Jack knew it didn't make sense. He was a normal person and he didn't want to kill all those people... but it was his job... and his life, he couldn't just stop.

"You disgust me..." Jack said with venom in his voice when he turned around one last time before leaving the house.
Bruce didn't come after him, he knew it was just a waste of energy. When the Joker walks away, he doesn't stop for anybody...

Harleen jumped up of the couch when she heard a hard slam from the front door. She looked at Jack who just angry stormed to his office. "Honey? What's wrong?" Harleens head popped up around the corner. She didn't get an answer, just a bunch of paperwork thrown at her. "Hey hey heeeey! Careful! You have to clean it by yourself!"
"Shut the fuck up, Harl!"

Harleen glared at her boyfriend and sighed before sitting down on the edge of the office desk. "What did he do?"
"Nothing...." Jack crossed his arms. Harleen looked at him and chuckled.  "Fine...  he said that I wasn't a normal person..."
Harleen stayed quiet but not a couple seconds later she bursted out in laughter.
"Is that everything? Hahaha damn Jack..."

Jack stood up and walked out of the room.
"What you're gonna do, Sweetie?" Harleen followed him.
"Killing someone..." he grabbed one of his knives and put a gun in his pocket.
"Oh... okay?"
