Authors Note

I dedicate this book to my sister, my friend, my soul mate.

First I would like to say Thank you to everyone who has read my other books (or is currently reading one)

This story was written for young girls, on their own personal journey to finding themselves. But even more so,
this story is meant to celebrate and uplift beautiful young black girls.
I wanted to write the kind of story I wish I could have read as a young girl. The kind were the hero was a beautiful black woman who was destined for greatness. Someone  magical.

Growing up I always loved watching fantasy movies. One of the things I love about fantasy is that you can create every and anything you want.
I also loved seeing  female characters who were both feminine and strong. And even though there are more than enough books and movies on this topic. I still always ended up feeling unsatisfied.
I later on realized that it was because I couldn't fully identify with any of the characters I loved and admired.

I want to see and read more stories about black girls/ woman who are the main character's. Interesting Characters who are unique, strong and confident. I want to see their love stories, friendships, growth and pain. I would love to read the stories about black mermaids, elves witches and so much more. This goes for P.O.C in general, I want the characters to look  like everyone on planet earth. Black, Asian,Indian ect. We are all beautiful and I want to hear & see everyone's stories.

We are not all Caucasians, and there's no problem if you are! But we do need to show those who aren't, that  it's ok to be them and love themselves as they are. Our stories are equally important and should be heard.
And if you don't like or understand this concept. Then congratulations your officially a part of the problem.

Overall at the core of this story is the message of growth and becoming the best version of yourself. It's about the love and bond that sisters can have with each other. And that when you believe in yourself you can work wonders and be the hero of your own story.
