“We’re like best friends now,” you
smirked charmingly in the darkness
of the room we lay in as you
intertwined our fingers between us.
“Why?” I smiled, “because we’ve
kissed?” I asked quietly in a teasing
tone that made your smile widen.
“Yeah,” you whispered in the
same low voice as before since
my best friend was on the bunk
right above us, “And because we’re
already best friends anyway.”
“Says the boy who said we were
barely even friends,” I cocked up
a brow, throwing your words back
at you from that chat a while ago
and making your face fall slightly.
“That’s not fair,” you frowned shifting
up a little more so you could see
me better, “I didn’t mean that at all.”
“Liar,” I teased half-heartedly
as I lightly pushed you back down
so you were lying beside me again.
“I’m not,” you defended leaning
up yet again and bringing your
face even closer than before,
our noses almost touching and
your eyes staring straight into
mine seriously.
“You are,” I whispered brushing
your cheekbone and not even
waiting for your reply before I
leant up and kissed you for
the first time ever.
