I woke up, and saw only white for a few seconds. I looked around, realizing I was in a hospital. Then I noticed my wrists, the bandages covering them stained red. "Shit. . ." I covered my face with my hands. Just let me die. I thought. I heard a light knock on the open door to the small hospital room. I sat up, feeling a bit dizzy, and saw Mika, closed-off and teary-eyed standing in the doorway. "Mika. . ." I began to say, weak. "Why? Why the hell would you do that?" She asked, cutting me off. She walked in completely, and closed the door. "You selfish bastard. I'm the one who had to find you like that, you know." She was staring straight at the floor, with her arms crossed. "If you would've died. . . I would'nt. . . Just tell me why, Akio." She looked up at me, barely keeping it together. "I'm not as good of a person as you think I am." I told her, looking away. "What the hell do you mean? You saved me from Hiroki, you helped me when he. . . You let me stay at your house for over a week, for god's sake. Of course you're a good person!"

"Don't tell me what I am and what I'm not!" I snapped. Mika's face was full of shock and fear. I immediately felt like shit for yelling at her. "I'm sorry, but I'm really not." Mika turned away from me. "You're right. I am a selfish bastard. I wasn't thinking when I did that. You shouldn't have had to find me like that. But, please, please don't hate me for this. I made a mistake." I said.

"Oh my god, you really are an idiot." Mika said with a scoff, her back still turned to me. "How the hell do you even think I could hate you? After all you've done for me? You really think I'm that heartless? Why do you think I was so upset when I found you? It's because I care about you. More than anyone in my life, honestly. And it scares the shit out of me." She turned back to me, her face covered in tears. "I'm so sorry, Mika. Please, just. . . come here." I said, motioning for her to sit by me on the hospital bed. She walked over, curling up next to me. "You can't do that ever again, okay?" She said, looking up at me. I nodded. "I promise."
