"hey, baby." tom said, walking into emerson's house and placing a kiss on his girlfriend's lips. he put down the donuts and milk, and he hugged her. "how are you doing?"

"me and the fetus are doing just fine." she said. "four months down, five to go."

"i don't know if i can wait that long." tom said with a smile.

"well, there's nothing i can do about it, babe. it's a natural process." emerson said. "what do you want to do today?"

"well, that depends." he said. "i actually have a question for you." emerson felt nervous. what if tom tried to propose to her again? she wasn't ready for that, and she certainly didn't want to break his heart. "don't worry, em, i'm not going to ask you that again."

emerson let out a breath of fresh air. "okay, then ask away."

"well, i was wondering..." he said. "since we're having a baby, and we live far apart, do you - um - do you want to move in together?"

emerson's eyes fluttered after his question. "w - what?"

"i love you, em." he said. "and we're parenting a child together, so we should live together."

"o - okay." emerson said. she felt calm by what he was saying, she felt ready.

"okay?" tom questioned.

"okay, yes! let's move in together." she said. tom smiled and pressed his lips against her's.

"oh, i love you." he said. "i love you, i love you, i love you."

emerson giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "i love you, too."

"i just have one question." he said. "we're moving in here, right?"

emerson laughed. "yes, of course we can."

"fantastic." he said. "you're house is literally my favorite."

emerson laughed and kissed his cheek. "well, you're my favorite."

"suck up." tom said with a smile.
