I'm in my office thinking about the game in Denver that the Chiefs are playing. I log on to the Fox Sports web page to see the score and it's a blow-out KC 0 DEN 32. It's half time and the cameras are on the sidelines Erin Andrews is interviewing Travis. As he leaves to get to the locker room, Kassie, a fellow ESPN reporter tells me that Mya is in the studio. I look at Kassie really worried. After the conversation with Maya, I lock up my office. Feeling the tension in the air isn't what I wanted. After the game ends, I look for my car. I get into it and start it. I start to drive when a song comes on. I sing it.
I didn't know what you were going through
I thought that you were fine
Why did you have to hide?
I didn't want to let you down
But the truth is out
It's tearing me apart, not listening to my heart
I really had to go
And I would never stop you
Even though it changed
Nothing has to change
And you can find me in the space between
Where two worlds come to meet
I'll never be out of reach
'Cause you're a part of me so you can find me in the space between
You'll never be alone
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space between
I'm on the 405 freeway and the song continues.
And nothing can stay the same
It's growing pains
Be proud of all the scars
They make you who you are
I know you have to stay
But I'll never really leave you
Nothing has to change
Even though it changed
And you can find me in the space between
Where two worlds come to meet
I'll never be out of reach
'Cause you're a part of me so you can find me in the space between
You'll never be alone
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space between
I'm in downtown Los Angles in front of Staples Center and the song finishes.
There are no words left to say
I know you gotta find your place
But this is not the end
You're part of who I am
Even if we're worlds apart
You're still in my heart
It will always be you and me, yeah
You can find me in the space between
Where two worlds come to meet
I'll never be out of reach
'Cause you're a part of me so you can find me in the space between
You'll never be alone
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space between
Yeah, no matter where you go
No matter where you go
We can meet in the space betweenI show the security guard my press badge and I get the okay to park in the press parking space. I enter the arena and show my press badge to John Stevens, the head coach of the Los Angles Kings. I get the best seat in the house. I'm inside the penalty box waiting for a break so I can interview Jonathan Quick, the goaltender for the team. A few moments later, I get ready for the on ice interview! I'm having a little bit of trouble skating and I start to wobble. The team skates back on the ice to continue practice before they leave for an away game in Tampa. Jonathan gets back to the net and I leave thanking Coach Stevens for his time. I thank the guard and I drive back to the studio.
