Nightmare | 'Unimagined' SEQUEL.

•Chapter 1•

Alyx pov:

I woke up to the smell of hospital and the sound of busy people rushing about. I opened my eyes to discover where I was sitting and that explained the reeking smell of hospital.

I looked to my right to see Kat sitting next to me, she was clearly awake but looked really rough. What were we doing here?

"Hey Alyx, how you feeling?" She looked into my eyes wrapping one of her arms around my shoulder.

Her eyes were bloodshot and puffy, her voice low and sorrowful and her arm wrapped so tightly around me in a comforting motion.

"Um..Kat? Why, what happened" My eyes widened worried and looked at her as she removed her arm from around me and her eyes were laced with confusion.

"You know, last night..Alyx we've been here all night. It's 11am, you've been asleep since 3am, we got here at like 1:30am" Kat tried to explain to me but I remained confused.

"But why are we here?" I whispered as I moved my head to see Sam in the chair next to Kat, his eyes also red and puffy. What the hell??

"You know..last night..Colby." Kat began to explain.

"..oh my god. Colby" My face dropped and I felt my heart sink as I remember last night.

Everything came rushing back to me. The memories from last night.

Sam, Kat and I lay on the ground in our sleeping bags as Colby walked over to the stairs because we could hear more banging sounds coming from down the stairs.

As he peered down with his flashlight trying to get a better look I heard the piercing loud sound of a gun go off.

Before I knew it I seen Colbys face drop and his body drop backwards to the ground as his head hit the ground and his body began to roll down the stairs from where the gun shot came from.

My face fell and I screamed looking at Kat and Sam who were in complete shock.

I jumped up and began to run over to where Colby had been shot and then fallen. As I ran I heard footsteps from down the stairs run out of the factory. Whoever had just shot my boyfriend had ran away.

I ran down the stairs to see my lifeless boyfriend laying on the ground as the blood poured out of him. The blood. It was everywhere.

"CALL 911" I screamed to Sam and Kat.

I sat there staring at my lifeless boyfriend as my mind blocked out the crying from Sam and Kat behind me as they were on the phone to the ambulance.

"The ambulance is on its way Alyx. It won't be long now don't worry" Sam cried.

"He's going to be fine. It's Colby. Everything will be fine" Kat also tried to comfort me through her tears.

Before I knew it I heard the sirens of the ambulance as they came in and collected Colby, putting him in the ambulance and they let me go with him. Kat and Sam said they would be fine to drive there.

We arrived at the hospital and Colby was straight away taken away from me and I was left alone sitting in the waiting room, not long later Kat and Sam arrived.

"What's the news?" Sam asked as he ran in sitting down next to me.

"Nothing, they told me to sit here and just have to wait" I cried into Kats arms.

My mind raced for hours thinking about all the different possible outcomes of tonight..
What if my boyfriend dies?
