•Chapter 5•

Alyx pov:

As we all sat in the room in silence Sam remembered something we should have done a long time ago.

"Shit. Colbys mom and dad" Sam cussed looking at Colbys phone.

"Oh my god, we haven't told them. They'd don't know" Kat replied.

Sam was looking at Colbys phone reading the millions of notifications he was being sent from his mom and dad because we were meant to be back home from our exploration hours ago and we were meant to be on our flight back to LA.

I had almost forgotten that we were in Kansas right now visiting Sam and Colbys families and we weren't in LA.

Shit..everyone back at home in LA. Elton, Corey, Devyn and Aaron, we needed to tell them.

None of us had even thought about the fact that we were supposed to be on our flight back to LA right now and we were meant to be landing at 1pm, which it's currently 12am. We were meant to be in LA in 1 hour.

We watched Sam as he walked out of Colbys room and stood outside on the phone to Colbys mom and dad. They were going to be devastated.

We needed to phone everyone at home.

"Hi Elton, where are you right now?" I asked with a low voice.

"At home..Alyx how are you calling me right now aren't you meant to be in the middle of the sky on your way home?" Elton asked, his voice worried.

"Yeah. Something's happened." I began to tear up again thinking about it.

"What's happened Alyx" Elton asked.

"Is everyone with you?" I asked, I wanted everyone to know at the same time.

"Yup everyone's here were all sitting playing rocket league." He explained.

"Okay. Last night Colby, Sam, Kat and I all headed to an abandoned warehouse to stay overnight. After a lot of sketchy sounds Colby..C-Colby was shot by s-somebody and then he hit his head really bad as he fell to the floor and fell down a flight of stairs a-and nnow. Now Colby has a gunshot wound, a broken arm and he's in, he's in a c-coma." I stuttered and cried telling Elton and the others.

"WHAT NO" Elton shouted worriedly.

"NOooo, bro this is a prank right?" Corey asked.

"We've been here since 1:30am and we just got to see him now" I explained.

"Alyx is this a prank?" Elton asked.

"Pleaseee tell me this is a prank"

"It's, it's not a prank" I began to cry even more as I broke down.

I gathered myself together and came off the phone with everyone at home.

"They all know now" I explained to Sam and Kat.

"Colbys mom and dad know now" Sam said walking in the room very upset.

Colbys mom and dad would be here very very soon but obviously Elton, Corey, Devyn and Aaron wouldn't be. I just needed some comforting, im glad I have Sam and Kat atleast.

Colbys mom and dad walked through the doors of Colbys room and entered to see Sam, Kat and I sitting around Colby, as their lifeless son lay there in the bed. They broke down. Instantly. It was so so heartbreaking to watch.

Once Colbys parents settled a little and gathered themselves together after seeing Colby we all sat in his room talking.

"I mean yous were meant to be on your flight and home by now" Colbys mum states to us.

"I know, we've told everyone back home at the house but there is no way I'm leaving Colby here" I replied.

"I will stay with him" I continued.
