Alyx pov:

"As ready as I'll ever be doc" Colby answered Dr Clark.

"Well then Colby, let's make sure those legs are working as normal." Dr Clark answered walking over to Colbys bed.

You see, because Colby has been laying in a bed on his back flat not moving for 3 weeks it means his body has taken park in no activity. When some people go into a coma they can often wake up and find themselves having to re learn how to walk. So this was just a simple test to make sure everything was working fine like it should be.

"Okay Colby I'm going to give you simple instructions that I need you to follow." The Doctor spoke and received a nod from Colby.

"Okay so, obviously pull back your sheets."

Colby moved his arm pulling the sheets off of him, to reveal his hospital gown that he was wearing.

"Try and swing your legs to the right side of the bed and let them dangle."

Colby followed and with great concentration he managed to move his stiff  bones to the side of the bed so he now dangled off.

"Great job. Now Alyx and Sam, each of you take one of Colbys arms to ensure he doesn't fall when he stands"

Sam and I walked over to Colby, taking a hold of each side of him.

"Okay now Colby, try sliding off the bed, putting both feet on the ground and trying to balance yourself."

I could tell he was slightly nervous incase he had to learn how to do this all over again but I could see him pushing those thoughts back as he stepped onto the ground balanced perfectly.

"That's perfect Colby. Alyx and Sam keeping a hold, I want you to begin to place one foot in front of another and just try to walk and see what you can do"

Still holding onto Colby he pushed his stiff legs in front of one another and in a matter on seconds he was walking, balanced greatly.

"That's amazing, Alyx and Sam, try letting go and let Colby walk by himself"

Sam and I let go of Colby and I watched as he stayed perfectly stable and then we went back to our seats. Colby continued to walk perfectly without fault. He was perfectly fine. He was great.

"You've done absolutely amazing Mr Brock. This means since everything has went perfect and your all fine, your good to go. You should be fine to leave and go back to your family home today, meaning you will be back in LA in no time.

"Thank god" Colby breathed in relief.

All of us cheered in happiness at the situation.

Colby was getting released from the hospital today and our lives were so close to going back to normal.

--

Colby was released from the hospital after signing with his consent, about an hour later. Meaning all 4 of us packed into Sam's car happier than we had been in such a long time and drove to Colbys mom and dads house.

His mom and dad still weren't off work meaning that they hadn't got the text yet so they still didn't know that Colby was home.

They were going to be so happy to come home to Colby.
