As she bathed in golden light
She turned toward the path that she wanted to go
And then towards the path that she was told to go,
She thought about her life.
And how it's changed so much
She's met so many great new friends
She's seen loved ones get hurt
And she's seen them get better.
She's learned a lot throughout her life
But the greatest adventure is yet to come.
She's always been the one jumping up and down
Hyper and smiling
Waking everyone up
And bringing smiles to their faces
But what they don't know
Is that she's faced harsh things
That no one should go through
She's still facing things that eats her alive inside
But she just smiles
She cuts to take away the pain
From everyday life
She cries
She screams
She dies
She can't hide the demons
She needs to let them go free
But she just smiles
Hides them away
Shows a better day
Tries to face each new day as a challenge
She tries to be strong
She acts like nothing's wrong
Her face may be happy
But her eyes show the pain
Sometimes
She doesn't think
She can ever be happy again.
But she picks herself up
Gathers the pain
Locks it all up
Just to be seen again
