Chapter 5

Devin

I was sitting in the couch I heard the door bell and walked to the door checking my outfit it was decent I was nervous to see Shea because I haven't seen her in a long time

I opened the door and she looked so different she was thicker she wore large clothing but all together she was beautiful

"Shea....you look um great come in." I couldn't even get my words out

"Thank you and you have a nice home." She said sitting on the sofa

"You want anything to drink water coffee?" I asked

"Water would be fine."she replied my stomach was doing summersaults

I grabbed the water bottle out of the fridge walking back into the living room

"So what do we need to talk about?" I asked whilst handing her the bottle

"Devin I just Need to make sure you are fit to be in Aidens life...I'm not sure if you are because last time I saw you..." she trailed off

I get she should be mad for the shit I've done but this was beyond fucking stupid

"Shea don't start with that bullshit I want to see my child and you don't have audacity to take him away I'm his father!" I yelled beyond fed up

"Dev-."

"No Shea I wasn't there to see him be born I wasn't there to watch him smile or giggle or roll over it fucking hurts I did alot of things to you but it hurts not being around my kid....what hurts even more I bet he thinks kai is his father not me-."

"Devin I just wanted Aiden to-."

"To fucking what Shea?"

"I would fucking tell you if you would stop cutting me off goddamit!" She screamed

I stayed silent because of her outburst I mean what dumbass explanation does she really have

"Devin the whole point of me getting away from you was to make sure Aiden would have a good life not the life I had with you I don't want him growing up to us arguing and you cheating it's not right." She cried I went to hold her only for her to flinch but I still held her in my arms

"Shea I never meant to hurt you and I love you with all of my heart and-." She began to become dead weight in my hands

"Shea!" I screamed thinking something was wrong she popped up her eyes wide

"Devin I have to go I'll meet up with you another time." She said stumbling towards the door

What the fuck was wrong with her?

"Shea are you alright?"

"I'm fucking fine!" She yelled slamming the door

Leave it to me Shea fucking Mavis to forget to take her meds at the most important time ever with everything stressful going on I didn't take my medicine I know for a fact kai will be mad

Not only will he be mad about that I just can't imagine how mad he will be when I tell him Devin's coming to see Aiden

Aiden is like Kai's child to him he is obsessed with him and I know it will hurt him to know Devin is back but my little adie bear needs his papa

I continued to drive lightheaded but i drove slow I finally reached my drive way my whole entire emotions where sky high I sat in the car and just
literally though about how much of a fool I was to forget my medication

I walked through the door and went upstairs to my room, Kai was sitting on the bed watching a movie he paused it once he saw me walk pass him straight to the bathroom

"Babe how did it go." He asked

I hurried and took my medicine downing it with water

"Yeah kai everything was fine I was thinking about letting him come see Aiden the talk went okay." I said kinda winded the medicine ain't kicked in yet

"We can think about that later I just wanna lay with you right now so come here relax." He said seductively

I walked to the bed and laid down only to hear Aiden cry two seconds later to my surprise kai got up to handle it telling me to relax so I did just that

I fell asleep almost instantly
