Dear Dad,
A society that that likes little girls that say all the right words and leave all the bad things unsaid has conditioned me to end all of our few conversations with the same trio of words for years.
But it seems that lately the well rehearsed words are drying up at their place in the back of my throat before they ever reach my tongue. I fear if they ever make it past that point I might choke on them.
