I was dreading his words so much now. I'm having a very bad feeling about this.

No......no.......NO!!! Please dad , No.......

My heart pounding harder with every passing second.

He started again," Now it is absolutely your choice whether you want him to marry you or not."

A deep sense of relief washed through me. My dad actually did trust me more than he trusted Jace. But an odd feeling kept growing in my stomach. My dad's face grew into a very stony and emotionless expression.

" I surely don't want to marry him dad. He doesn't seem to like me at all. And moreover I don't have any intention to ruin his life by marrying him against his will." I stopped , satisfied of my answer. But my dad's reaction was not exactly what I had expected it.

He got to his feet and stomped over to me. Me running out of breath, I stood up. He held on my shoulders and shook me. Confusing clouded my mind. Why is dad acting like this?

" Don't degrade yourself for a BOY. Who told you that it matters whether the guy likes you or not? The only thing that matters to me is that you are happy. And if you like Jace and wanna marry him, then nothing can stop you from getting him. I'll make sure." Dad let out a long sigh and sat down on the seat beside me.

" No dad. I really don't wanna marry him. I don't like him. Not anything more than a friend that is." My face turned pale as my knuckles turned white from holding them so tightly together.

Dad got to his feet and his face got stony again. His eyes dark and deep. He rolled up his sleeved and held on to my shoulders to gently pick me up.

" If not marry him,.. then. .............KILL him."

A very short and boring ,boring chapter. Ik what you are thinking. But alas. This had to happen.

I promise you. Better plot coming up. This chapter was meant to be a character development for the protagonist' s dad.
