My heart thumped loudly,
A shiver ran down my spine,
And sweat trickled down my forehead.
My face went pale and lips became cold.
My body shook on the bed,
And my legs kicking an invisible foe in the air.
With heavy breaths,
Suddenly, I opened my eyes, gasping for air.
I sat up.
My top was drenched in sweat.
Only then did I notice, I had sratched my face.
I searched around but couldn't find them.
Fear started settling down,
It felt like my stomach dropped.
It was the only way to calm myself, those white pills, they were my escape.
Now that I couldn't find them,
I started having panic attacks which gave way to hallucinations.
It's been years,
Still these 'Nightmares' haven't stopped.
These nightmares have been wrecking my sleep for quite sometime now.
My only attempt at freedom has been reduced to a confused battle between my soul and my head.
I now seem to have kindled a relationship of sorts with the eternal darkness.
I blame my woeful past for these nightmares
Oh well,
it's just another night of my life spent in utter agony.
