Carmen walked down the carpet of the church towards her Uncle Steve
She knew he was most likely hurting knowing that his first love, Peggy Carter, had passed
"Are you okay?" Carmen asked him as he looked up quickly, making eye contact with her as he just shrugged
"Who signed the accords?" Steve asked her as she stood in front of him
"My dad, Uncle Rhodey, Aunt Nat, Vision-" Carmen started
"Wanda?" He asked
"TBD" She muttered and looked down
"What about you?" He asked her as she pursed her lips
Her being the youngest Avenger, this took a toll on her. Steve is her God-Father, Tony is her blood father
"I had to sign, if I didn't I put everyone I love in danger" She said thinking of Pepper and her bestfriend since pre-school, MJ
"I understand that"
There was a comfortable silence until Carmen broke it
"We're still a family, right?" She asked quietly as Steve looked at his niece
"Does this mean I can't talk to you or Uncle Bird anymore?" She continued asking, Sam was her favorite uncle and she didn't want to part
"No matter what happens you can always come to any of us for anything. It doesn't matter which team we're on" Steve told her as she nodded firmly
"I'm sorry about Peggy" Carmen told him genuinely as he nodded slightly
She hugged his waist tightly as he hugged back gently as if she would break

Carmen & Steve were talking and walking towards the elevator but suddenly a woman with blonde hair came and spiked a conversation with Steve as if Carmen wasn't there
Carmen cleared her throat obnoxiously, hoping this woman would get the point
"Carmen this is Sharon, Peggy's niece, Sharon this is Carmen, my goddaughter and Tony's daughter" Steve introduced the two as Carmen gave her a tight smile
"Hi" Carmen said bluntly as she continues to look at Steve
'Your can't just get with Peggy's niece, that's weird! Stop it right now!'
