His full name is Byun Baekhyun.
Baekhyun was born on the 6th May 1992 in Bucheon-shi, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He is 21-years-old.

He joined his school's musical band and won an award at a local rock festival. While studying for his entrance exams, he was scouted by an S.M. Entertainment casting agent and was cast into the company in 2011. He was immediately asked to join S.M. right in front of the gates. Before he joined S.M. Entertainment, Baekhyun had auditioned for JYP online in 2009.
On the 30th January 2012, Baekhyun was fintroduced as an EXO-K member in the prologue single 'What Is Love', which is only sung by him and his bandmate D.O.
He shares a room with Chanyeol.
His roommate Chanyeol once said that Baekhyun yelps like a dog 40 times before falling asleep.
