Chapter 2...... Welcome To The World

Once I was out of the hospital we went home which wasn't till later that morning. The baby was going to be brought home now. Aurora is healthy and so was I. After some tests they determined that her and I were healthy enough to go home. I cradled her in my arms. Good thing we kept her baby carriage and seat in the back of the car. Once we walked to the car I gently placed her in her car seat. Her blue eyes sparkled and she looked at me

"My Aurora." I said

I kissed her head. I got into the car and Dave did too. I took my phone and I called Mel. I waited for the dial tone and soon after two rings she picked up. It was about 8 am so I hoped she would be awake 

"Hello?" She said 

She sounded tired. I don't blame her it's only 8 am

"Hey Mel it's me."

"Oh Mia you woke me up."

"I'm sorry."

I did feel sorry but I just had a baby, which is also her niece and I had to tell her

"What's up?" She asked

"I had my baby."

"No way. Are you home?"

"I'm on my way home now."

"Okay I'll be over as soon as I can."

"Okay." I said as I smiled

Then she hung up. Dave smiled at me. Little Aurora started to cry. I turned over to face her and her eyes shined more of a green than blue. I felt my heart pick up pace and once I looked away from her and looked back her eyes were blue. I felt a sense of relief knowing that her eyes were just blue not green. I knew that my mind was playing tricks on me now. It might be because I just had a baby and that I'm tired or that my mind is still fearing the chances of Aurora being Scott's daughter

"Mia we are almost home."Dave said

As we pulled down the street I seen a car in front of us. It was a police car, but why was it here? We followed it till it pulled into the house as we did. The car stopped and we pulled ahead in the driveway. Dave got out to see what was going on as I grabbed Aurora from the back and I covered her carriage with a blanket. I had no clue what was going on and I felt like I was going to get news that I didn't want to hear just yet. I walked over to the cop car to see Jet get out of it. I sighed because he looked happy. Maybe it wasn't what I was thinking after all

"I see a little baby carriage." Jet said

I walked over to him and I brought the carriage forward. I lifted up the blanket to show her face, she just looked at him and he smiled at her. He brought his hand and touched hers, I could tell he was very fragile with babies but this was a very sweet moment

"She looks a lot like Dave." He said

I wasn't sure if he knew my fear just because of my face. Actually I never told anyone about my fears. I told Dave but I'm sure Mel could probably tell. Dave welcomed Jet into the house, Mel and my dad showed up just after that. They got out of the car and seen Aurora and Mel shirked which caused me to cringe. I seen Mel holding something that looked like a gift. She always shrieks when she sees a baby. Anyways I welcomed them in

"Sorry if there isn't much here, we are just packing everything up." I said

I walked them into the living room and that is where I seen Jet and Dave sitting on the couch. Mel, my dad, and myself joined and we all sat there. I took Aurora out the carriage and into my arms where I cradled her so she wouldn't cry
