Chapter 11: Fun In The Sun

"I see Sanji now has a girlfriend" Nami nudged you twice with her elbow. "Who's the lucky lady?" You knew Nami was just playing with you but you played with her.

"Me!" You squealed holding out the beautiful crimson rose Sanji had gifted you.

"Bout time. I'm so happy for you both" Nami gave you a light hug then proceeded to your shared room getting changed.

"Why are you changing in the middle of the day?" You had asked covering your eyes giving Nami her privacy.

"New island. I want to do some swimming." Nami answered you as you head her shuffle around while getting dressed into her bikini.

"Yeah... I don't plan to do any swimming" you chuckled thinking back to about two weeks ago, the fighting accident that brought you and Sanji closer together.

"You could" Nami raised her voice pulling your hands away from your eyes. "Luffy normally runs around in an innertube to stay afloat. Why can't you?" The red head pointed out with a smile as she was dressed in her blue camouflage bikini top and khaki shorts.

"I could. But I don't have a swim suit"

"Then borrow one of mine. I don't mind. Bye" Nami then left through the door. You looked though her clothes trying to pick out something to wear. Nothing really stands out... You kept searching and searching when an aqua blue bikini stood out. Sanji wears a lot of blue. This would be perfect!

You got changed into the blue bikini, pulling a white lace jacket over your arms. Finishing off with a matching sunhat with blue ribbon. Robin and Sanji made the hat for you since they knew how much you liked Luffy's straw hat.

You left the girls dorm with a strut in your step. Loving how good you looked in the swim wear. Catching some eyes from your fellow crew members as you proceeded to the lifeboats. Waiting to get taken to shore as the Sunny couldn't get any closer to the island.

"Wow you are the most beautiful woman in the world" Sanji flirted with you going into one of his fantasies as his eyes turned to hearts and he spun around. You giggled loving his reactions.

"Oh stop it" you couldn't stop smiling.

"I'll control myself" he took a deep breath in letting it out slowely. He made a serious face for it to be for nothing. When his nose bled all too suddenly.

"And the nosebleeds are back" Zoro snickered cracking you up.

"They aren't normal?" You managed to ask through laughs.

"It was a medical problem from a while back" Chopper frowned at Sanji.

"Nearly bled out" Robin also frowned.

"But I do got to admit, you are pretty sexy" Zoro admits with a large smirk.

"SUPER sexy" Franky posed. Sanji finally came around with his nosebleed under control. Smacking Zoro upside the head.

"Try and steal my woman and I won't hesitate to kill you" and I keep forgetting Sanji and Zoro don't get along.

"I don't roll that way dumbass!" Zoro shouted back at Sanji with hostility. Grabbing at the collar of Sanji's shirt. Getting amused 'ohs' and 'ahs' from around the crew. "Shit..." Zoro lets Sanji go mentally scolding himself.

"Heh heh no wonder why you don't care that much about woman. So who's the lucky guy?" Sanji Wasn't rubbing Zoro's mistake in. Nobody should. This reaction could change your perspective on some people here.

"I'm with nobody" Zoro bluntly answers with a scowl.

"Like anybody?" Robin asked with curiosity.

"Nobody on this ship if that's what you're asking" Zoro left it at that. Getting in the lifeboats for shore. He was swimming in embarrassment.

"Hope Marimo eventually gets a boyfriend. This entire time I thought he was hopeless" Sanji laughed to himself before turning to you. "Go ahead to shore, I need to gather a few things for dinner later and get changed"

"Okay then, you sure you don't need help?" You offered.

"I'm positive" Sanji kissed your hand before retreating to the kitchen. You crawled into the lifeboats with Chopper and a few others. Zoro paddled the boat to the shore of the new island.

"Hey (Y/n) " Chopper called out to you.

"Whatcha need Chopper?" You squatted down to be eye level with the reindeer.

"Can we build a sandcastle together?" Chopper rocked on his feet with puppy dog eyes expecting his answer.

"Sure thing" you stood back up picking out a spot on the shoreline to build the sandcastle. Chopper grew into Heavy Point beginning to build the structure of the castle with your help.

"Hey beautiful! I'm back" Sanji ran over kicking sand behind him with every step. Now dressed in swim trucks, and an open button up shirt. Revealing his pale skin and well built stomach.

"Hey handsome" you played along patting the sand beside you. Sanji gladly took the seat.

"Hi Sanji" Chopper waved excitedly. "Look at our sandcastle!" The little reindeer hopped up and down. The shaking of the ground beneath his hooves caused his sandcastle to collapse. "Awe...." Chopper got teary eyed.

"Don't worry. Go and find some sea shells and we'll rebuild it" Sanji pets Chopper on the head. Chopper lightened up running around the beach searching for shells.

"That was nice of you" you smiled helping Sanji fix the previous sandcastle.

"Really?"

"Yes you were." You pulled some wet sand over toping off the base of the castle. "Normally parents would say 'suck it up' or 'things happen' to their child. But you said you'd rebuild it for him"

"I never did build a sandcastle as a child. I grew up on a floating restaurant" you must have reminded Sanji of his childhood. You already knew that part of him but still adored it.

"Neither have I. Because I ate a devil fruit my parent forbid me from any large body of water. Pools, bathtubs, lakes, ponds, oceans. So I never did visit a beach" makes me wonder how I know how to make a sand castle.

"So alot has happened to you this last month" Sanji stopped constructing the castle putting all attention on you. "You saw the ocean for the first time, set sail on a boat, became a pirate, almost drowned, and got a boyfriend. All in a month" Sanji looked impressed in you. It made you feel on top of the world knowing you have done so much in so little time. "Want to add two more things to that list?" Sanji asked you with a smirk.

"And what might those be?" Sanji leaned forward capturing your lips with his. You kept your eyes open just slightly unable to think clearly to this new feeling that made you want to jump around. After a few seconds, Sanji leaned back petting your cheek with his thumb.

"Have you ever been kissed before today?"

"I haven't" you smiled putting a hand over his.

"Now how about swimming?"

"You're kidding"

"Nope. Come on, lets go swim. I promise to keep you above the water" Sanji nudged you playfully, then stood up knowing you'd say yes.

"Now don't fail me" you stood up with him.

"I won't"
