The stage set changed to Gleb's office.

"Another rumor on the street.

Another round the bend.

Another new report

the rumors never end

Another see

Another lie

Another fiend to apprehend

The rumors never end," The chorus sung as they filed papers.

"Anything concerning the Romanov's even the most preposterous rumor, we take very seriously," Jerry said as he walked on stage with the three girls that auditioned to be Anastasia.

"I told you she's about as much as of a Romanov as I am," One said.

"She's a street sweeper, she was sleeping under a bridge until she took up with Dimitri," Another said.

"Thank you," Jerry said in a fake cheery voice.

"Aren't you going to arrest them?" One asked.

"You've done your duties, now please leave," Jerry said sitting in his seat.

"And he's done his the hear gossip, all of you were trying to work here," A worker said.

"Its not gossip, its the truth," A girl said. Jerry banged his fist on the table and stood up.

"Only the witness to our history would know the truth, my family was living close to where the royal family was living, my father was a checkist guard, no one could escape," Jerry said.

"I saw the children as the soldiers closed the gate

The youngest daughter and her pride

My father leaving on the night they met their fate

His pistol by his side," he sung and paused.

"The Neva flows,

a new wind blows

And soon it will be spring

The leaves unfold

The tzar lies cold

A revolution is a simple thing," He sung.

"I heard the shots. I heard the screams. But it's the silence after I remember most," He said walking to the girls.

"The world stopped breathing

And I was no longer a boy

My father shook his head and told me not to ask

My mother said he died of shame

But I believe he did a proud and vital task

And in my fathers name:

The Neva flows

A new wind blows

And soon it will be spring

The leaves unfold

The tzar lies cold

Could I have pulled the trigger

If I'd been told." he sung.

"Everyone back too work," He commanded.

"The next time I see the three of you soliciting on Theatre Street I won't look the other way," He said as the girls ran off stage.

"A revolution is a simple thing," He sung causing a black out.
