I have learned so much in the short amount of time I've been here. In Drama 101 we are learning to create a safe space on the stage so that we feel comfortable enough to try new acting choices, to really dig deep and find what would work for your character in the moment.
The teacher had us stand in a big circle facing each other, and we had to make animal noises! How crazy is that? No one could make the same sound twice. And you couldn't repeat anyone else's until the next round.
I have never laughed so much in school. And I really needed that after all my serious business courses. I know they're important. LIFE is a business and it's crucial to have the skills to run my own, no matter what field I go into.
Next semester I am taking screenwriting. It's good to study all aspects of the entertainment business to help me work with writers, producers, directors, etc.
And as much as I'm enjoying this stage acting class, I really want to work on films.
