This is the Lockheed P-38 "Lightning" nicknamed "the fork-tailed devil" by the Germans. This is my favorite plane in existance, why? Just look at it!! It's so cool looking!! It was equipped with 4 12.7mm (50 cal.) machine guns as well as a 20mm cannon all packed in the nose. And if I'm correct the one in the picture is a G model. I would tell more but, I'm lazy.
