I heard the front door shut and immediately slam the cupboard, running to the foyer. "Mom mom mom! Mother mother mother!" I scream.

"What," she laughs.

"GUESS WHAT! GUESS. WHAT!"

"What!" she laughs again.

"THE. ASA. MAXWELL. THORNTON. FARR. BUTTERFIELD. IS COMING HERE. TONIGHT. IN AN HOUR! Oh my god, an hour! I have to get ready!"

I turn away and sprint up to my room.

"Wait, what?" I hear my mom call behind me, but I ignore her. Since it was early September, it was pretty chilly. I put on a pair of plain denim jeans and a black tank-top that had big, red roses on it. I also put on a cream cardigan. Since I just painted my toes red last night, I take off my socks and quickly clean my feet in the sink (just to be safe!). I apply a bit of golden eye shadow, light red blush, and mascara.

What?

It's Asa Butterfield!

When I'm done, I just sit on my phone texting my old friends from Nebraska.

I hear a knock on my bedroom door and look up. "Oh, hey, Asa," I smile. Yes! I didn't stutter.

"Francesca," he smiles back. "Why are you all dolled up?"

"Oh, I went out to dinner before," I lie. He just stands there awkwardly. "Well come on!" I smile. "Tutorin' time."

He laughs and follows me over to my desk.

"Um... Francesca?" he sounds like he's holding in a laugh.

"Hmm?"

"What's that?" He points to the wall that is covered in my 5 Seconds of Summer, Blink 182, Paramore, Nickelback, Alkaline Trio, and... ASA BUTTERFIELD POSTERS! Oh my god, this isn't happening. How did I forget?

"This is my sisters room," I say, though I can't hide my blush.

"Then why does that wall say 'Francesca' in newspaper scraps?"

"Adopted sister. We happen to have the same name."

"Yeah right," he scoffs.

My cheeks are the brightest shade of red and I cross my arms and mumble a small 'shut up'.

"Asa! I do not understand this!" I yell in frustration.

"What isn't there to understand!" he yells, probably frustrated because I'm not working so well with this!

"Don't yell at me! I'm not even supposed to be in this class. If I took a class ahead of me back in Nebraska, it's be so much easier," the thought of home brings tears to eyes, but I quickly blink them away. We practically just met, that'd be pathetic.

"Sorry," he replies sheepishly.

"It's fine," I look up and give him a small smile. He smiles back, and slowly, ever so slowly, starts to lean in. I do the same. Soon, were centimeters apart.

Ding!

My phone goes off and I jump back. Oh my goodness, we almost kissed! I blush deeper than before. "Sorry, I'm sorry, so sorry."

"It's fine," he's blushing, too. "So, lets get back to tutoring, shall we?"

I smile. "Let's."

I've been working on these punnett squares all night, and I finally understood! I kept working two hours after Asa left.

To: Asa (tutor buddy!)

From: Francesca

Look out your window!!!!!!!!!

His room is right across from mine, on the other side of the street obviously.

Quickly, on a big piece of paper, I solve a punnett square, correctly.

Soon enough, I see him look out his window and I hold up the piece of paper.

He looks confused at first, then smiles, giving me a big thumbs up.

I smile, too, and shut my blinds, preparing for bed.
