As I walked with Pansy down to the Halloween feast, I could smell the scent of pumpkin spice fill the air.

"I need to get my hands on some of that pumpkin pie." I mumbled, licking my lips.

When we entered the Great Hall, our jaws dropped.

Live bats flew everywhere, much to the dismay of Pansy. They flew all over the walls, ceiling, and tables, making the orange candlelight coming from the floating pumpkins flicker.

We sat down across from Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle, and started piling food onto our plates.

I had just swallowed some pumpkin pie when Quirrell ran into the hall, a look of pure terror on his face.

"TROLL! IN THE DUNGEONS!"

Silence.

"Thought you ought to know." He said before fainting.

Everyone started screaming and running all over the place. It was chaos. I saw Draco looking pretty frazzled and I quickly grabbed onto his arm and held on for dear life. If I get killed by this troll, I ain't dying alone.

"DRACOTHEREISATROLLWE'REGONNADIE!" I screamed.

"ALEX, IF WE DIE, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT-"

He was interrupted by firecrackers exploding from Dumbledores wand, which caused almost complete silence.

"Prefects, lead your houses back to their dormitories immediately!"

Still holding onto Draco for dear life, I followed our prefect back to the dormitories with all the other students, looking out for the troll that was in the dungeons.

We arrived in the common room and saw that food from the feast had been brought down to us. I let go of Draco's arm at last and was about to grab some candy when I thought about earlier.

"Hey Draco, what were you going to tell me earlier? When we almost died?"

"Oh-I-uh-can't remember." He said, quickly turning away from me and shoving cake in his mouth. Then he bolted to his dorm.

"Strange...." I mumbled to myself.
