Ron's POV

And then she just strutted right out of the store.

I felt like I lost my sister.

She had been drifting apart all summer. She spent most of her time in her room, writing letters.

She's changed. First year she seemed a bit mean, but she seemed to care, just a little. But now she's gone. I blame it all on Slytherin, her friends, and that bloke Malfoy.

I didn't even acknowledge Hagrid trying to console my parents, or my brothers disappointment, all I knew was that my sister was gone.

Alex's POV

"Where exactly are we going? I don't care as long as I'm away from them, but-"

"The manor." Mr. Malfoy said shortly. He looked irritated, but I didn't blame him.

I put my head down and walked beside Draco for awhile. I felt him lead me into a public fireplace, and then the familiar whooshing of traveling by Floo.

I was standing in the familiar living room of the Malfoy Manor. "I'm going to talk with Narcissa about this whole arrangement. Draco, show her to one of the spare rooms."

His father strode away and I started following Draco up stairways and down halls.

"I'm glad you're here. I haven't seen you all summer." Draco said, breaking the silence. "I think my mother could help you bring over some clothes and school supplies tomorrow from your house. That is, if you wanna stay."

"That would be great. How long do you think I'll be able to stay here?"

"I'm sure I can convince my parents to let you stay until school starts. You may be your parent's child, but you aren't their beliefs and choices."

He looked back and smiled at me a bit. I smiled too as we started slowing down towards the guest room I used during Christmas break last year.

I walked inside and memories of Christmas washed over me. "Ah... good to be back." I said, sitting on the bed.

"Has your family been talking rubbish all summer? Is that why you were so eager to leave?" Draco asked, sitting down next to me.

"Yea. Every damn day I had to listen to my dad come home from work, complaining about your father. I dealt with my brothers teasing me, and casting disappointing looks. Their judgement didn't really bother me, except for Percy. I mean, he's the ONLY BROTHER I like that's still living with us, and he's disappointed in me. It sucks. There was only so much I could take before I snapped, you know?"

Draco nodded in an understanding way. I'm surprised he listened to my rambling, and actually seemed to care.

Narcissa appeared in my doorway and walked into the room. "Lucius told me about what happened today. I don't have a problem with you staying here, but he's a little touchy. Try not to bother him that much, alright?"

I nodded and waited for her to continue.

"I've mailed your mother telling her we'll be there tomorrow morning to get your things. You can borrow a pair of Draco's pajamas tonight if you like, although they might be a bit baggy-" she paused as we all laughed a little. "-Oh well, the plus side is that they're silk. I'll call you two down for lunch in about an hour."

She smiled a bit and left the room.

"What do you wanna do?" Draco asked me.

"Do you have any coloring supplies?"

"Yea, in my room."

"Good. I wanna improve my art skills."

Ron's POV

Once everyone got home, the house had a lot of tension. Even the twins seemed off.

Mum picked up a letter that was on the floor. "Floo mail. It's from the Malfoys." She said, tearing it open.

She skimmed it and looked beyond angry. I could tell a bomb was about to go off.

"THE NERVE SHE MUST HAVE! TELLING ME SHE'S GOING TO PICK UP MY DAUGHTER'S THINGS! DOES SHE THINK SHE CAN JUST SNATCH MY CHILD AWAY?! WHEN SHE COMES HERE TOMORROW MORNING-JUST YOU WAIT!"

Dad had to stay downstairs trying to comfort Mum as me and my siblings all went to our rooms. I went with the twins to talk about Alex.

"Running away to Malfoy's house... I can't believe it." Fred mumbled, shutting the door.

"I know. What is so horrible about us that she feels the need to do that? I wonder how long she'll be gone." I said, looking out the window. "I hope she'll be back soon."

Alex's POV

After having a drawing contest with Draco and finishing up lunch, we decided to just run up and down the hallways like we did last Christmas. It seems weird, but I find it quite entertaining.

I was confused to why I was so tired when I realized I had been up since early this morning. "I think I'm gonna go to sleep early tonight. I gotta wake up early tomorrow anyways." I yawned, rubbing my eyes.

"Really? It's only 2 pm!" Draco said, raising his eyebrows. "Well, come with me, I'll get you my pajamas."

We walked to his room and he handed me the clothes. I changed in my bathroom and crawled into my bed, feeling exhausted.

"I'll tell Mother you're sleeping." He said as he stood in my doorway. "Goodnight, even though the sun is still out."

"Mmmf." I mumbled into my pillow.

What a day tomorrow's gonna be.
