Prologue
I walked into the school once again. I tried staying in the shadows but it never works. I'm always caught. It always happens. Not one day goes by without me getting another bruise, another cut, another beating. I just want to get away. I want to run until my feet don't touch the ground. Yes, I just ripped off Mayday Parade.
My sweater covers my scarred wrist. Covers the hundreds of white and red slashes on my arms. I know it is bad but I can't help it. It is my only release. My only stress reliever. I can't really explain it. It just helps.
I have no one to help me. My best friend turned into my worst enemy. My mom left and my dad is always drunk. I have no friends. Everyone hates me. I'm made fun of because of who my parents are. No one knows anything about me though because these are the secrets I keep.
