Alecs POV!

I walked into this room for the thirteenth time. It has been thirteen days since I have seen Delilah smile. Thirteen days since I have seen her beautiful eyes. Thirteen days and it is all my fault. If I had tried harder, or been there sooner, she might not be here at all. It is all my fault that she is here. If I wasn't there though she could have died.

I sat down next to her bed and admired the sleeping beauty. She really is beautiful even if she can't see it herself. I can't wait for her to wake up. I want to be here when she does.

I think carefully about what I am going to say to her for a few minutes. When I figured it out I began talking. "Hi Delilah. I'm back. It's been thirteen days. Thirteen days since I have seen you smile or seen your eyes. I miss you. I hope you wake up soon." I paused and stared at her. Right when I was about to talk again my phone rang. I quickly answered it.

"Hello?" I said making it sound like a question. "Alec?" A girls voice said. I instantly recognized the young girls voice. "Eliza! What's wrong?!" I immediately asked. She hasn't spoken for thirteen days. "Alec I need help." She cried and began to sob. "Eliza where are you?" I asked. "I'm home alone." She sobbed. "Okay. Stay there and please don't do anything stupid. I'll be there soon." And with that I hung up the phone.

"I'll be back soon Delilah. I have to go help Eliza." I kissed her forehead before running out of the hospital to my car. I made it to Delilahs house and burst in without knocking. I ran to Elizas bedroom. I opened the door to see her curled into a ball in the corner. I could hear her sobbing quietly. I closed the door making her look up at me. Her eyes were puffy and red. Her cheeks were stained with black tears from her makeup. "Eliza what happened?" I asked. She started crying harder. "Eliza please talk to me." She looked up to my eyes.

"I almost did it Alec." She cried. "Almost did what?" I asked slowly and carefully. "I-I-I" She stuttered. "Calm down. Take a deep breath." She did as I said before speaking again. "I almost cut myself." She whispered. "No Eliza." My voice came out soft and quiet. "You can't do that. Promise me you won't" I whispered. "But you don't understand! Delilah was my rock. I don't know how to do anything with out her. I'm completely lost." She cried . I pulled her into my arms to comfort her. "Listen Kid. Your sister will wake up soon. She will be back to hold you and help you. Just give her a little longer." As soon as I got Eliza calmed down I went back to the hospital.

"Hey Delilah. I'm back. Eliza was having some problems. She almost cut herself but she called me instead. I just had to get there. She is a mess without you Delilah. I feel so bad for her. She needs you. If you could have seen her De-" I was cut off when the once beeping machine flat lined. I immediately stood up. Before I could process what was happening I was being pushed out of the room.

"No! I have to stay with her! I can't leave her!" I yelled as male nurses pushed me out and shut the door. I slammed my fist against the door. I backed away from the door until my back was against the wall. I slid down it to the floor. Delilah just died. She died with me right next to her. She is gone.
