|CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE|

"Thank you Aunt Angeli!" squeaked the little boy.

"Emily. Aunt Emily," corrected Nikki.

"Oh. Thanks Aunt Emily. I love you soo much!" squealed Sammy. He ran to me and enveloped his tiny arms around my neck. I returned the hug with a warm smile.

"I am glad you liked your new pillow pet. You get to play and sleep with it!"

"I love it soo much Auntie. Thanks again."

"Your welcome. Remember to get better so we can go get ice cream with your mother!"

"Yay! Ice cream! I want fifty-hundred scoops of icecream!"

" Yes. Fifty-hundred. Now. I have to get going. I am back to working at that stupid company," I said with a groan. I strode towards the door and stopped to wave goodbye.

"Emily. I hope you are making the right decision. If he damn hurts you, I got my fists ready," said Nikki whilst curling her hands to show fists.

I chuckled. "I am doing this so I can see him. I thought he was gone, but he was alive eversince. I miss him."

"It's alright. I know you will soon see Thomas again. Just wait," encouraged Nikki.

"Thanks," I breathed. "Bye Sammy! Bye Nikki. Wish me luck!" I walked towards my car and headed off to the office building down the busy city.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I would like to welcome two new employees in this company district. Meet Ms.Emily Ramond, my fiance'," said Sean. The other employees exchanged greetings with me by nodding their heads or a simple welcome.

"We have another new-comer who seems to be running late. You can meet him later on. Now, get back to your work. Thank you."

Everyone exited the board room and strode off towards their designated cubicle.

As I was about to exit the board room, a guy barged in looking quite messy. My eyes widened as I realized who it was.

Brandon.

"Oh hello Brandon. You are late on your first day. Happened?" asked Sean as he walked towards him and did their handshake.

"Car broke down on the way. Took quite a while to get it running smoothly again. Hey! At least I am here!"

"Alright. Guys. Here is your first assignment. Emily and Randon, you guys will be paired together for a very special project. As what your skills had stated, you are perfectly capable of this project. I will put my trust into you two in this. Alright?" Both Brandon and I nodded in response.

Sean continued, "This whole district's task is to tackle as much clients to put their investments in this company. I want you guys to persuade a special and very powerful client. Mr. Jung Kio. He owns alot of hotels, shopping centers, and other across the country. Indeed, powerful. Some other companies are already targeting him. I need you guys to persuade him ASAP and make sure he will end up here in The Woods Corporation. I will ask for progress in about five days. Now, get going."

Sean gathered his belongings and stalked out of the room, leaving only Brandon and I.

Talk about awkward.

"So," I spoke up to break the silence. "How are we going to do this?"

"I have an idea. Try to brainstorm ideas of yours while I brainstorm ideas of mine. Tomorrow, we will meet and merge ideas together. Then, we will decide what to do next. Is that alright?" said Brandon in such a business manner.
