Rose was curled into a ball on the ground, holding her stomach. "My baby" she wept. "My baby, I hope it's okay!" She wept on and on and began to cry. In the distance, Jack had been making his way over. He had just gone on a half hour break and decided to use it to walk Rose home. He noticed a red-tone strawberry-blonde haired woman lying on the ground, crying in pain. Nearby, a dark-chocolate brown haired man standing above her. He immediately knew who they both were and began running in fright. "Rose!" he shouted. Cal looked up from Rose and in Jack's direction. "This piece of trash now?" Cal mumbled to himself and smirked. Jack made his way to Rose, which Cal tried to get in his way. Jack pushed Cal so hard it sent him flying to the ground. In specific, wet mud. "Oh, not my new suit!" He loudly exclaimed. People looked at Cal as if he were crazy and some made their way over to Jack and Rose to assist them. "Stop! Don't you see they aren't meant to be together? That is my wife! We came to New York to marry and she chose this gutter rat instead!" Cal shouted. Many ignored, some laughed at him, and the rest were only worried for Rose's sake.
Jack quickly helped Rose up and asked everyone nearby if they had a car to take her to the hospital. A few stood up and offered to drive the couple, and Jack followed the closest one. He got in the back seat with Rose and rubbed her stomach with one hand with holding hers in his other. She continued to cry, but was now much calmer than when it all first happened. "How do you feel Rose? Are you in pain?" Jack asked, obviously very worried. Rose nodded, tears streaming down both sides of her face, "I'm in pain, but not as much. I just hope the baby is okay" The thought of her baby being harmed made her tears begin to start streaming at faster speeds. Jack held her in his arms while wiping away the tears. "It's okay love, I'm here. I'll always be here." Jack assured her. He also felt pain from the thought of his baby being in pain, his eyes began to glisten. Although he wanted to cry as well, he held it in and stayed strong for Rose who obviously needed more support right now.
"We're here, let's go." The man who drove stated. He hopped out of the car and ran to Rose's side to help her out. Jack and he each had one of her arms over their shoulders and were practically carrying her inside. "Help!" Jack and the man called out. Many nurses rushed over. "She's pregnant and she was hit in the stomach. We need to know if our baby is okay!" Jack cried out. The nurses brought over a wheel chair and rushed her into a room. "Obviously I have to follow, but thank you so much for your help" Jack thanked the man giving him a look as to introduce his name. "The name's Carlos, and you're welcome sir. I hope your wife and baby are going to be okay." Carlos replied, lacking knowledge on Jack and Rose's relationship status. Jack then quickly turned around and ran after the nurse's and Rose to be with her. "Sir, we are pulling her into an examination room, you cannot follow. Please wait here." The nurses asked politely. Upset, Jack stepped back, his eyes met Rose's one last time before she was taken into the room. They exchanged a look that said, 'I love you, I hope our baby is okay, and I am always here.' A tear could be seen falling from both Jack and Rose's face, and finally, the door to the examination room, was shut.
About two hours had passed and Jack was now seated in the waiting room. Carlos had stayed back to make sure Rose was okay, and to make sure the couple had a ride. "It's been so long. How long do I have to wait to hear about my baby and Rose" A frustrated Jack uttered to himself. Carlos gave him a look of sympathy. Just then, a nurse walked out. "Jack Dawson?" She called out. Jack rose from his seat and rushed over to her. "What's wrong?" He immediately asked. "Everything is fine. The baby is fine. When Rose's stomach was impacted, the baby bumped into her ribs a bit too hard causing a sharp pain from the pressure." The nurse replied in relief. Jack sighed. He felt like a huge weight just lifted from his body. "Can I see her?" He asked. "She is resting now, but yes, you can go into the room and wait for her to wake." The nurse answered. Jack rushed to the room before the nurse could even finish. He quietly walked into the room and took a seat. Jack enjoyed watching Rose sleep; he thought she was so beautiful. That being said, he really just yearned to hear her voice in this moment instead. Jack spent as long as it took in that room until she woke up. He didn't know when that would be, but he didn't care. He loves Rose with all of himself and more. He sits in a chair nearby the bed, holding her hand and stroking her hair. He smiled to himself and continued to do this for a while.
