Mini Logicality chapter
Patton looked at the boy from across the library, butterflies dancing in his stomach. He was so hopelessly in love with the boy, every time he looked up from his book, he hide behind the bookshelf.
Come on Patton, he likes you back, you just need to talk to him! he thought, trying to get up the courage.
He finally took a deep breath and approached him. He was so entranced with his book that he didn't even see Patton. "Uh, h-hi," he stuttered, causing the Ravenclaw to look up. Both of their cheeks went pink, Patton's from nervousness and Logan's from the realization that his crush was talking to him.
"S-Salutations," he replied, closing his book. Patton rubbed the back of his neck as he pulled out a piece of paper.
"Uh, I w-was wondering if y-you could help me with s-something," he said.
Logan's eyes widened a tiny bit. "I don't see why not, what do you require assistance with?"
Oh my god, he's too smart for me! I probably sound like I'm four compared to him! Patton thought as he freaked out.
"Uh I have some homework for Beasts class that I'm having trouble with," he said, sitting down as Logan gestured to the seat next to him.
Something flashed in the Ravenclaw's eyes as he nodded. They started working through the topic, Patton in awe of how amazing he was with explaining things. When they finished, Patton thanked him with a smile.
"Thank you so much for your help?" he ended in a question of his name even though he already knew it. Logan raised an eyebrow with a small knowing smirk on his face.
"Something tells me you already know my name," he said, causing Patton to blush as his eyes went wide. "You didn't actually need help with that homework, did you?"
"N-No, I kinda might've said that so I could talk to you," Patton said nervously, looking away. Logan chuckled, making the Hufflepuff's heart flutter in his chest.
"If you just wanted to talk to me, you could have said so," he said in amusement. "It's Patton, right?"
He nodded. "And you're Logan," he said with a small smile.
"Well, it was nice helping you with your homework Patton," he said as he stood up. The Hufflepuff panicked, grabbing his sleeve.
"Wait!" he said before he could stop himself. Logan looked back at him curiously, a blush on his cheeks. "Uh- sorry, n-never mind, i-its nothing."
The Ravenclaw sat back down l, looking at him with intrigue. "What is it?" he asked, eye brows furrowing together.
Patton looked away, fidgeting. "Ihaveacrushonyou," he said way too quickly for him to understand.
"Apologies, could you repeat that?" Logan asked. Patton took a deep breath.
"I have a crush on you."
They both were silent for a moment before Logan shakily smiled. "I have a 'crush' on you as well Patton," he said, suddenly very shy.
"R-Really?" Patton asked hopefully. Logan nodded. "Then would you want to go down to Hogsmeade together sometime? Maybe Saturday?"
Logan smiled, standing up once more to leave. "I'd like that very much Patton," he said as Patton stood up too.
"Okay, I'll see ya' later then," the Hufflepuff said. He was smiling super wide as he went to leave, however he paused for a moment. He mentally battled himself before turning around and pecking Logan on the cheek. The Ravenclaw blushed bright red as Patton sprinted away, also blushing.
Logan smiled to himself as he brushed the spot on his cheek with his fingers. Patton hid against the wall as he exited the library, watch Logan walk in the other direction. The Hufflepuff slid down the wall, blushing and covering his face with his hands.
He had a date for Saturday with the boy he'd been crushing on for years.
