Hermione sat in the Great Hall beside Ginny who was talking about joining a professional Quidditch team when she graduated from Hogwarts. She smiled, agreeing it would be great for her. Ginny was a great Quidditch player, and she thought any professional team would be lucky to have her. Ginny continued about the team called the Holyhead Harpies, a team she admired and hoped to join.

"Ginny, that's great news. I'm so happy for you!" Hermione exclaimed in excitement.

She never really had a friend who was a professional Quidditch Player, other than her pen pal Viktor Krum.

"Thanks Hermione for the support, I'm sure Harry and Ron will cheer me on when they can. Now what are you planning to do after graduation?" She asked.

Hermione had to think for a moment.

"...Probably in the ministry. Working in the department of Magical Law Enforcement or the department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." Hermione suggested, she wasn't sure.

Ginny nodded, agreeing with her choices.

"I honestly you could do great in either department. For me, I see you in the Regulations and Control of Magical Creatures department. Help shed some light on the house elf issue."

Hermione gave her a side hug, before leaving the Gryffindor Table.

"Thank you Ginny, you've been a great help! I must be going now though to potions class with Professor Snape. I'll see you later." She replied before pulling away from her friend Ginny and her friendly embrace.

"No problem Hermione, good luck with the old bat!" Ginny hollered, as Hermione left.

Hermione rolled her eyes and continued her way up the stairs to gather her things, as she made it to the 5th; out of 7 floors, Hermione lost her footing. Causing her to lose her balance, falling down the cold hard moving staircase. Hitting her head Hard in the process.

Luckily, Professor McGonnagal; and Professor Snape, we're heading to their classrooms and were able to see Hermione out cold on the floor. Both sprinting to her aid.

"Oh Severus, how bad has she injured herself?" Asked Minerva, as she looked down at a calm looking and  unconscious Hermione.

Severus looked at Minerva before checking her vital signs, her head for gashes or cuts. Excessive bleeding.

"She is fine Minerva, just a little gash with some bleeding and a slight concussion. If we bring her to poppy, she will help Ms. Granger while we go to our lessons. Until we are free to check on her later." He replied, as he stood back up.

Minerva nodded, both levitating her towards the infirmary. Poppy, who was not busy at the moment got a little shock when Minerva and Severus came in with a unconscious Hermione. They were supposed to be in class by now.

"What happened Minerva?" Asked Poppy Pomfrey, as she walked to wards them to show her to a empty infirmary bed.

"She fell, hitting her head. It seems that she fell down the stairs." Replied Minerva, helping them bring her to the 7th bed in the right row facing away from the door.

While placing her gently onto the bed,  Madame Pomfrey did a quick analysis.

"It is correct, she fell. It seems the stairs may have moved a little, and Ms. Granger lost her footing. Hitting her head, gaining the small gash on the back of her head and a miniscule concussion." Poppy replied calmly.

Everyone could hear Minerva's sigh of relief. Severus felt grateful the 'Insufferable Know It All' didn't get severely hurt.

"That's very good Poppy, Minerva we have class to attend to. Good day Poppy, we will pop in to check on Ms. Granger later."  Severus replied, dawdling down the hallway towards his classroom.

Minerva took a final look at Hermione before leaving for her class with some first years. Madame Pomfrey continued to look after Ms.Granger, giving her a blood replenishing Potion when conscious. Letting her rest, but not close her eyes due to her concussion.

Later that day, after Hours of Hermione laying in bed. During dinner, Madame Pomfrey brought Hermione some supper to eat. She was to stay overnight for further analysis. During her meal, Professor Snape came to visit her. When their eyes met, her's lit up.

"Severus! I missed you. How are you my love?" Hermione asked, smiling and happy to see him.

Severus' mouth was agape, shocked at how informal and care free she was.

"Excuse me Ms. Granger, but you call me Professor Snape. Secondly I was never your love. We never loved each other." He said harshly.

"But Sev. We do, we dated for two years. I loved you for a long time." Said Hermione, who looked heartbroken. She scooted closer in his direction.

Severus was speechless, she spoke to him with a nickname. She is acting as if they were romantically involved. He couldn't wrap his mind around it. Just as he was about to reply, Minerva and Poppy came into the room to check on her when they heard what Hermione said.

"What Ms.Granger?" Asked Professor McGonnagal.

"We are in love Professor McGonnagal." Hermione said simply.

Minerva was about to ask Severus, but he interrupted.

"Don't look at me, I was never in love with Ms. Granger. She's delusional!" Said Severus.

Hermione looked more Heartbroken than before.

"Please don't say those things to her Severus, she is recovering. It isn't good to have her feel Depressed or Stressed. Now, Severus. May I speak to you both in private...?" Replied Poppy.

They both looked to Hermione, then back at Madame Pomfrey before entering the empty and Serene hallway.

Hermione tried to listen to their conversation. But to no avail, she continued to eat her dinner as she waited Patently for them to finish.
