You Are Mine

The Truth Revealed

Mom ran towards me, knife in hand. All my classmates were watching. And that includes Karma. I just stood there. I remained silent until mom stood in front of me.

"NAGISA! WHY DID I EVEN RAISE YOU?! I SHOULD'VE LET YOU DIE LONG AGO!"she yelled and started stabbing me with the knife.

I ignored the pain. I didn't want to cry in front of everyone. It hurt but I didn't move. I knew it wouldn't last long. Suddenly, mom fell to the ground. It was Karma. He punched my mom.

"Are you okay Nagisa?! Okay that's a dumb question... Let's get you to the hospital right now!" Karma looked at me.
"I-i'm fine..."

I was hurt badly and before I knew it, I blacked out.

I woke up in the hospital. The others were sitting beside my bed. I had bandages all over my body. It hurt so much and I couldn't move. Then Karma realised I woke up.

"Oh Nagisa, you're awake. Feeling any better?"
"I'm okay I guess."
"Nagisa... can I ask you something?"
"Yeah. Go on."
"Has this happen to you all the time?"
"..........."
"Hey you can tell us." Nakamura said.
"Okay..." I sighed.

So, guess this is it.

"It all started when my father died. We were going to eat lunch at the mall. I was very young that time so I jumped up and down on the car and I played with dad. He lost focus and crashed into a tree. Me and my mom survived, but he didn't. My mom says that it's my fault. Yes, it is my fault. If I didn't play on the car, the accident wouldn't happen." I finished.

I looked up to everyone. They just stared at me. I didn't know what to say so I remained silent.

"So the scream I heard that day was you?"
"You can say that."

Before Karma could say something, the doctor came in.

"Sorry for interrupting but I need to do a check up on Shiota."

They went out of the room. The doctor did a quick check up and wrote something on the clipboard.

"You should be able to go home tomorrow Shiota. But be careful not to hurt yourself."the doctor said.
"Okay. Thanks a lot."

I laid back down. So, will Karma hate me for that? I don't know.

Karma's POV
"Hey guys, do you guys think he'll be okay? I'm worried about him." I asked.
"Nah he'll be fine."
"Okay... if you say so..."

Third Person's POV
Urghh! Why is it so hard to make him give up on Nagisa?! Hmph! But I haven't given up yet!
