Don't, EVER, act selfish! It may not be true for everyone, but it annoys me if people compliment themselves. It's irritating as hell. For example
Them: *walks out in the most beautiful dress that hugs my curves and makes me look sexy*
*sigh* let the other one decide alright? Instead of that, just say:
Them: *walks out in a fancy, tight dress*
Then, you let your 'partner' give the compliments. For example
Sky
Me
W: *getting in bed*
S: *changing into her fancy new dress, and walking into the living room* what do you think?
J: *walks into the bedroom in her oversized shirt, closing the door behind her*
D: *scans her up and down* well good evening to you too, miss~
W: *checks her out* you look delicious right now~ *smirks*
S: *blushes slightly, smiling sweetly at him* ohh stop it, you!
J: *bites her lip, getting under the sheets next to him* thank you *snuggles up to him*
D: *chuckles amused* c'mon, let's go
