Your POV:

"Then, he laughed at my pain for about what felt like forty hours," Arthur said, taking a sip of his drink.

"Wow... that's..." You chuckled. "Pretty mean. It sounds like Allistor bullied you quite a bit." He leaned back in his seat.

"I wouldn't call it bullying, just a little light teasing. Older siblings do it all the time. Even to this very day."

"I guess as long as it's nothing serious, everything's fine."

"Heh, of course. Here," Arthur handed you a strawberry cocktail and winked. "Don't have any more than two, love."

"Okay, is it good?"

"I don't know. I may not be a good cook, but drinks are different. So, I guess?" He shrugged.

"If you say so." You took a sip. And you were stunned. "Oh, wow. That's... pretty good!"

He smiled. "You thought I was going to poison you or something?"

"No, of course not. I'm just amazed."

"I'm glad you liked it."

You quickly finished it. "Here's yours, Arthur." You handed him a lime cocktail. He took a sip.

"Bloody hell. That's good." He complimented, reaching his hand in to grab another one. But you smacked his hand. He quickly pulled back.

"Thanks, but you're not having any more than one. I haven't experienced it myself before, having you drunk is not happening. At least, not here."

"Oh, come one, love."

"No, mister."

"Fine. After we're done here, want to head down to the park to watch the sunset?"

"Yes, I would like that."

>>>>>>

You both sat down on a bench that perfectly faced the direction of the sunset. Arthur took hold of your hand. You returned the gesture. "You know something, love?"

You looked at him. "Yes?"

"Do you remember the first time we met at the Silent Pool?"

"Of course, how can I forget? It hasn't even been that long since that day, so it's still fresh in my mind. Why?"

"Then, did you ever find out what spell I was trying to cast?"

"Actually, no. And you never told me."

"Well, I'm going to. I was..." He clutched his hands. "I was casting a spell for me not to... be so lonely. I tried to summon a form of company, but I guess it almost backfired, as you said. But what you didn't know is even though the spell itself didn't work, I got something much better, and that's you. I was worried at first that you wouldn't have wanted anything with me, but I'm glad you weren't what I was expecting."

"Arthur..." You didn't know what to say, so you cupped his face with your hands, turned his face for him to face you, and planted a soft, gentle kiss on his lips. He was surprised at first but gave in. Once the two of you pulled away, you smiled.

"Artie, you won't have to worry about loneliness any longer. I will always be with you." He smiled back.

"That makes me delighted, (Y/N). Oh, here, this is for you. A beautiful flower for a beautiful lady." He handed you a lily of the valley.

"Thank you. It's lovely."

"And it can do this," Suddenly, the flowers turned into bright, white butterflies. They started to flutter all around you. One landed gently on your nose. Arthur laughed.

"I think it likes you. Who wouldn't?"
