I'm not sure if this was from PumpkinGriefer101 or just the cave being evil.
I decided that if I wanted to get diamonds I should go mining. So that's what I did. I brought Rock (Rick was sleeping) with me and when I entered the cave, I broke some coal in the ceiling and gravel fell, blocking the entrance. I then saw a book on the floor in the distance. I picked up the dusty literacture and started reading. "Jack's Guide to Mining" was scrawled in light grey on the dirt brown cover. I could've faintly seen the image of an iron pickaxe on it.
(note: sometimes bold print means parts of the book)
  Chapter 1: The Crafting Recipe

To start mining, you first need a pickaxe. To craft a wooden pickaxe, you need 2 sticks and 3 wooden planks in a pattern like so:

Once you have got that down, you could craft other pickaxes! All you need to do is replace the wooden planks with cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots or diamonds to get their respective pickaxes

I went to dig the gravel out of the exit with my bare hands when I heard Rock bark. Now,  if he barks like ruff  it means he's happy. If he says BARK! it means that there's an intruder nearby. If he makes an arf noise it means he's found something.
He made that last noise meaning he found something. But what? Sitting next to him, was a diamond ore.

I mined the area surrounding it and I got 12 diamond ores! Unfortunately, stone pickaxes can't break diamond ores

Couldn't draw Rock in sunglasses. Sorry.

This is Sion4JC speaking and I might just make a book where Alex is the main character. Also tell me which chapter of Jack's Guide to Mining  you want Steve to write in next. Just comment and whichever chapter is the most chosen I'll choose it. Hm. Now that I think about it, can I make THAT a separate book? Nah. Here are the chapters:
(the ones excluded are the ones read already.)

Chapter 2: What Mines What?

Chapter 3: Where to Mine.

Chapter 4: What's the Strongest?

Chapter 5: Repairing Them.

Chapter 6: Enchanting Them.

If you have any thoughts for Chapters 7, 8, 9 and 10, comment.
