~Eve's POV~
I was in my mansion, thinking of ways for next year's Halloween to go well when I had looked out my window to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). "Three Little Scaries!" I yelled out to my little helpers. "I'm going to see what North wants, you're in charge, make sure everything goes well" I told them sternly. They nodded their heads response while I shook my back a little, my black angle like wings making themselves shown. "Hey girls" I said while I stroke them, hopping onto the balcony ledge, then falling off, letting my wings take control. "Should have brought a cape with me" I shivered when I had finally reached the north pole. "This better be good North" I heard the famous Easter Bunny warn. "Sandy, thank you for coming" North greeted the sandman. Sandy had put up his sand jesters. "I know. I know. But I obviously wouldn't have called you all here unless it was serious" North answered. I brushed the snow off of my wings and shook my back again, my wings disappearing from sight. The Boogyman was here at the Pole!" North exclaimed. "Pitch? Pitch Black here?" I asked, worried but not letting it show. I walked closer to North. "Yes. There was black sand covering the Globe" North told us. "What do you mean, black sand?" Bunny asked. "And then a shadow!" North said, completely ignoring Bunny. "Hold on, hold on. I thought you said you saw Pitch" Bunny pointed out. "Well. Not Exactly" North answered, rubbing the back of his head. "Not Exactly? Can you believe this guy?" Bunny asked Sandy, who then put a sand question mark over his head while shrugging. "Yeah. You said it Sandy" Bunny scoffed. "Look, he's up to something very bad. I feel it... *looks down at stomach* in my belly!" North exclaimed. I gave him a doubting look. "Hang on, hang on. You mean to say that you summoned me here three days before Eater because of your belly?" Bunny asked incredulously while pointing his paint brush at North. "Mate if I did this to you three days before Christmas.." "Please Bunny. Easter is not Christmas" North interrupted Bunny. "Here we go" Bunny sarcastically laughed and then started an argument with North. I walked off to go see the Globe. The vicious ringing of a Christmas bell brought my attention back to the others. Sandy gave us a sand picture of the moon. "Ah! Man in Moon!" North welcomed to the moon. I bowed my head in respect and then looked up at him. "Sandy, why didn't you say anything?" North asked the sandman. Sandy huffed in annoyance, sand steam coming out of his ears. I walked over to him and patted his back. "It's been a long time, old friend! What is big news?" North asked Man In Moon. Moon's light shown onto the floor place where the shadow of Pitch was shown to us. "It's Pitch" Bunny said. North pointed to his belly. "Manny what must we do?" North asked. Manny pointed to the spot where our next teammate's statue would be shown to us. A crystal made it's way above the ground. "Guys, you know what this means?" Tooth asked. "He's choosing a new Guardian!" North explained. "What? Why?" Bunny asked. I snickered at his worry. "Must be big deal. Manny thinks we need help" North pointed out. "Since when do we need help?" Bunny scoffed. "I wonder who it's going to be!" Tooth exclaimed excitedly. "I hope it's another girl" I said while Sandy gave off other suggestions. I heard Bunny muttering "Please not the Groundhog" to himself. The crystal's light shown and our new teammate was revealed. Jack Frost. My cheeks burned a little. Tooth's fairies swooned over him, well his teeth. "I take it back. The Groundhog's fine" Bunny said in defense. Tooth starred dreamily at his teeth. "As long as he helps to protect the children. Right?" she asked, snapping out of her dazed state. "Jack Frost? He doesn't care about children!" Bunny exclaimed. "All right? All he does is freeze water pipes mess with my egg hunts!" Bunny yelled angrily. "All right? He's an irresponsible, selfish..." "Guardian" North interrupted Bunny's ranting. "Jack Frost is many things but he is not a Guardian" huffed.

I was laying on one of the beams in North's Globe room. "He's here" North announced. I sat up. North's elves went to open up the sack that held Jack Frost. "Quiet" North ordered while the sack opened up. "Hey! There he is! Jack Frost" North exclaimed. "Wow. You got to be kidding me" Frost muttered under his breath. Just then Jack Frost was picked up by two of North's yeti's. "Hey! Hey! Put me down" Jack ordered, brushing off his hoodie. "I hope the yetis treated you well?" asked. "Oh yeah. I love being shoved into a sack and tossed through a magic portal" Jack told North sarcastically. His sarcasm brought a smile to my face. "Oh good. That was my idea!" North said, completely skipping the sarcasm. "You know Bunny, obviously" North told Jack. "Obviously" Jack muttered. "And the Tooth Fairy" "Hello Jack. I've heard a lot about you. And your teeth!" Tooth greeted while fluttering close to him. "My what?" Jack asked confused. "Open up! Are they really as white as they say? Yes! *gasp* They really do sparkle like freshly fallen snow!" Tooth gushed over Jack's teeth. Tooth's fairies swooned over the teeth as well. "Girls, pull yourselves together. Let's not disgrace the uniform" Tooth warned. I laughed softly, making sure no one could hear me. "And Sandman" North continued after Tooth flew away. "Sandy?" North asked the sleeping sandman. "Sandy? *tap* WAKE UP" North yelled, awakening the sandman. "And last but not least the Spirit of Halloween... where'd she go?" North asked looking around. "Hey, ho anyone want to tell me why I'm here?" Jack asked after North tried to find me. Sandy started his sand gestures but Jack didn't understand. "Eh, that's not really helping but thanks, little man" Jack said while turning around and walking away from us slowly. "I must've done something really bad to get you five together" Jack said although he never saw me. "Am I on the naughty list?" Jack asked innocently. He was far from innocence. "On naughty list? You hold record" North laughed but then turned serious. WAIT, WHAT? HE HOLDS RECORD? "But no matter. We overlook" North said like it was no big deal. "Now we are wiping clean the slate" North told Jack. "How come?" Jack asked, turning around. "Good question" Bunny muttered. "How come? I tell you how come! Because now you are Guardian!" North exclaimed happily, the yetis and elves trying to celebrate. 'Oh not this again' I groaned inwardly. "What are you doing? Get off of me" Jack yelled, flustered and angry at the same time. "This is the best part!" North yelled happily, ignoring Jack completely. After a while Jack got annoyed and slammed his staff down onto the ground, making the ground icy. I swung my legs over the beam and hopped down, hiding behind the others. "What makes you think I want to be a Guardian?" Jack asked while scanning the five of us, still not seeing me behind North. North laughed out loud, scarring some of us. "Of course you do" North told Jack. "Music!" North yelled, making the yetis and elves start up again. "No music!" Jack yelled over the music. One elf got annoyed and threw his trumpet on the ground. I laughed. "Finally someone else with a natural reaction towards this kind of thing" I laughed while making myself shown. Jack starred at me but then gulped, I leaned my head to side, raising my eyebrow, confused at his reaction. "This is all very flattering but ah, you don't want me. You're all hard work and deadlines. And I'm snowballs and fun times" Jack said while plopping himself down on a table. "I'm not a Guardian" Jack denied. "Yeah, that's exactly what I said" Bunny laughed. "Jack, I don't think you get what it is we do" Tooth said, flying next to Jack and showing him the Globe. "Each of those lights is a child" Tooth explained. "A child who believes. Good or bad, naughty or nice, we protect them" North pointed out. "Tooth! Fingers out of mouth" I laughed slightly when I saw Jack struggling. "Sorry. They're beautiful" Tooth said sheepishly. "Okay no more wishy-washy. Pitch is out there doing who knows what!" North informed everyone. "You mean the Boogyman?" Jack asked while laughing, not believing North. "Yes! When Pitch threatens us, he threaten them as well" North pointed to the Globe. "All the more reason to pick someone more qualified" Jack pointed out. "Pick? You think we pick?" North questioned Jack. "No. You were chosen. Like we were chosen by Man in Moon" North explained. "What?" Jack asked. "Last night Jack, he chose you" I informed him. "Maybe" Bunny interrupted. "Man in Moon, he talks to you?" Jack asked us but it was more directed to me fro some reason. " You see, you cannot say no. It is destiny" North told Jack. "But why wouldn't he tell me that himself? Jack questioned while starring at Manny. "After three-hundred years this is his answer? To spend eternity like you guys, cooped up in some hideout thinking of new ways to bribe kids? No, no. That's not for me! No offense" Jack yelled at Manny. I stared at him, he still doesn't get it does he? "How is that not offensive?" Bunny stuttered while looking around. "You know what I think?" Bunny questioned while walking up to Jack. "I think we just dodged a bullet. I mean what does this clown know about bringing joy to children anyway?" Bunny mocked Jack. Hey, don't talk about my clowns like that. "You ever heard of a snow day?" Jack asked, turning around to face us. "I know it's no hard-boiled egg but kids like what I do" Jack pointed out. Uh oh, please don't get into a fight. "But none of them believe in you do they? You see you're invisible mate. It's like you don't even exist" Bunny pushed. Jack's face hardened a little. "Bunny, enough" I scolded while walking close to the two giants. "No, the Kangaroo is right" Jack said, knowing that would push Bunny over the edge. I covered my mouth. "The what? What did you call me?" Bunny asked. "I'm not a kangaroo mate" Bunny told Jack, walking up closely. "Oh and this whole time I thought you were" Jack told Bunny sassily. "If you're not a kangaroo, what are you?" Jack questioned. "I'm a bunny. The Easter Bunny. People believe in me" Bunny said seriously, Jack's face falling but he tried not to show emotion. I tapped North's side. "Jack. Walk with me" North demanded. After the two were gone, I slapped Bunny upside the head. "What was that for?" Bunny asked. "We don't treat other Guardians that way" I scolded. "You're just saying that because you have a crush on him ya ankle bitter" Bunny glared at me, trying to blow off some steam. "Want to go?" I asked while my hair started to flame up. "Eve, calm down sweetie" Tooth put a hand on my shoulder. I let out a breath and calmed down.
