Y/N's POV~
I was in the library, revising for an upcoming Muggle Studies exam for the sake of revision. Being a half-Blood meant I already knew everything. It was an easy OWL that I would pass without fail, and was another to gain, which was an offer I would never turn down. My revision notes were scattered all over the table, covering every available surface, but still leaving a small gap for me to write in my notepad on.
I was so caught up in the revision that I don't notice Draco come and stand next to me chair, looking with wonder at the array of worksheets piled on to the desk.
"What on earth do you need all of this writing for?" He said in disbelief. I swear I jumped ten feet. Turning so that I faced him, the scare still evident inn my face, I waved my hand in dismissal.
"Just a few notes on the class. I've got more in my dormitory."
"How the hell do you have more???"
"I just took notes during classes. It's easier to note stuff down rather than remember it."
"You're certainly more committed than me then! I can't remember half the stuff you've got written down here."
"Well some of it is stuff I know from my dad. He's a muggle so I know most of the stuff from every day life at home. We still get alot of magic from my mum's side but mostly we just act like muggles."
"Being a half- blood sounds good. I only ever had magic I the house. Never knew anything about muggles since father doesn't like them. Sad really. Your mum and dad sound nice."I looked on astonishment at Draco, who I knew to hate anything muggle, standing up for them like it was an everyday thing for him to do.
"I thought you hated muggles?"
"I'm a Slytherin, I'm meant to."
"Well isn't that stereotypical! I know a muggle- born Slytherin who loves muggles. Thinks that pure blood will never really know what it's like to live without magic. Not all Slytherins are muggle haters. You don't have to be too."He stared at me with a look of bewilderment on his face. I strongly believe that house stereotypes aren't true at all. Not all Slytherin are evil and all that crap about there not being a witch or wizard who weren't bad that wasn't in Slytherin isn't right. Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor! The cowardly bastard. And that Professor Quirrell had Voldemort stuck to the back of his head and he was a Ravenclaw. I'm not saying all the houses are perfect!
"Are you free tomorrow afternoon? We could go to the Three Broomsticks?"
It was my turn to look at him I'm astonishment.
"Y-Yes, If you want to" I stumbled over my words and blushed at the fool I've made of myself in front of the guy I've had a crush on for three years. He smirked then said, "Okay, I'll meet you in the Entrance Hall. Bye, Y/N."
I mumbled my goodbye and watched him leave. After what was probably 10 minutes of staring at where his retreating figure once was, I finally turned back to my work to find that I couldn't concentrate any more at all.- Winter
