●●●Charlotte's POV
"No Jasper, I don't want to go with you to see your bucket collection." I grumbled. We were in the Mancave cleaning. Henry and Ray were off doing some mission. Schwoz was somewhere doing something.
"Why not? I just go two new ones!" Jasper whined. I rolled my eyes.
"It's just not my cup of tea."
Our conversation was interrupted by Ray coming down the tube. He was covered in something brown and he stinked.
"Ew what is that smell." I choked out.
"There were two men down in the sewer fighting. Henry and I had to break them up." Ray sighed.
"Where is Henry?" Jasper asked.
"He ran off to go spend time with Bianca."
My heart dropped. Curse my feelings!
"Charlotte!"
"What?" I asked startled.
"I was asking to see your wrist. Your 16th birthday was two days ago." Jasper said, walking towards me. I backed away, terrified.
"I would love to show you but I....have to help my mom! Duty calls." Before they could utter another word, I was on the elevator on my way up to the main floor.

"I spoke to the doctor today." My mom said to me later that night. We had just finished watching a movie.
"Oh really?" I mumbled back, uninterested.
"She told me more things about your...condition."
Condition. That's a light way of putting it.
"What did she say?" I asked.
"Well she told me that there is medication you can take to ease the pain." She began.
Ah. The usual.
"But she also told me that...there is this place that people like you can go to." That got my attention.
"People like me? Do you mean Glitches? There's no need to sugar-coat it mom."
My mom sighed and we sat there in an awkward silence. No one said a word almost ten minutes. Finally, I broke the silence.
"What is it called?" I asked.
My looked up, surprised.
"It's called Sunny Smiles. The doctor gave me a brochure in it. Here, have a look." She said, eagerly. I flipped open the brochure to see Sunny Smiles written in bright yellow letters. It gave a happy vibe. However, I knew anyone who was going there was far from happy. It showed a smiling patient standing in between two smiling nurses. On the next page it gave information about the place. One line caught my eye. Complete comfort until your last breath!
Who the hell puts that in a brochure?! Whoever thought of putting that in there should be fired. Pronto.
"So? What do you think?" My mom asked.
"Sounds great. Just not for me. I'd rather stay at home and die with my friends and family." I answered, rising from the couch.
"Now Charlotte-"
Before she could finish I was already up the stairs.

I groggily walked into the Mancave. It was 3 in the morning. Ray had called me asking me to meet him there. I don't even know what is so important that it couldn't wait until the morning.
"Ray! I'm here." I yelled.
"Charlotte! The daughter I never had! How are you?" Ray shouted.
"How am I? I'm standing at 3 AM talking to you when I should be at home sleeping!"
"So I assumed your fine?"
"Ray!"
"Ok, ok. The real reason I called you here was to talking to you about Henry. He hasn't been coming to work. He's been spending all of his time with Bianca." Ray exclaimed.
"Okay? What do you want me to do about?" I asked.
"Well...I want you to talk to him. You know, tell him that he has been spending to much time with Bianca. You are his best friend."
"I don't really want to get involved Ray. Bianca is his soulmate. Isn't it natural?" I pondered.
"Maybe. I remember spending a lot of time with my soulmate. Those were the good ole days." Ray said, getting a dreamy look in his eyes.
"Fine Ray. I'll talk to Henry tomorrow at school. Now can I go home?" I sighed.
"Yes after one last thing. I cant figure out how to work through TV."

As I walked into school, the first thing I saw was Henry locking lips with Bianca. Barf. I walked right past them and went to my locker. I got my books and my homework. Closing my locker, I jumped at the sight of Jasper.
"I don't like how Henry is spending all of his time with Bianca. We exist too." He grumbled.
"That's his soulmate, Jasper. Maybe you'll understand when you turn 16."
"That reminds me! Who's your soulmate? Let me see you wrist!"
I moved out of the way just as he reached for my arm.
"I have to ask Henry something. Be right back!" I said, tugging my sleeve down.
I ran over to where Henry was still kissing Bianca. I yanked his arm, pulling him away from her.
"Char what are you doing? Bianca! Wait for me by my locker." Henry shouted.
"What do you want, Char? I was kind of busy-"
"Henry I have something very important to talk to you about. I think you have been spending to much time with Bianca. I don't think that is good for your health. Not to mention you have been neglecting your job! I just think you need to take a small break from her." I rushed out.
For a few moments Jace just stared at me with a peculiar look on his face. He finally spoke.
"I understand."
"You do? Oh thank God. I was so worried-"
"I understand that you want to keep me from Bianca."
What?
"Bianca is my soulmate, Charlotte. Of course I'm going to spend more time with her. I'm sorry your jealous, but I can't spend all of my time with you anymore. Get over it." Henry said, before he walked away from me.
This book is a short story. So I'm not sure exactly how many chapters it's going to have. It's not going to be a lot though.
