Charlotte's POV

"There's another Henry in Swellview?" Henry asked.

"Tell me your skull is not that thick." I snapped, snatching my wrist away from his grip.

"What's wrong with him? Is he ugly? Not everything is about-"

"No! You dunce!" I interrupted him.

"Well then what's the problem?" Henry questioned, holding his hands up in surrender.

"There is no other Henry in Swellview." I sighed.

"What do you mean?"

I sighed. Henry was getting on my last nerve.

"Your my soulmate, Henry!" I shouted, throwing my hands in the air.

Henry stared at me for a second before shaking his head.

"No. That's impossible, unless you're a..." Henry cut himself off.

"A what, Henry? A Glitch? Just face it Henry, in less than 2 months I'm not going to be here." I exclaimed.

"Where are you going to go?" Henry questioned.

"I'm going to die! Glitches don't live that long. The most they live for is a year." I yelled.

"But your birthday was a month ago." Henry mumbled.

I sighed. "My doctor said that my soul is decay quicker than most. She gave me about 3 months."

"A whole month passed and you didn't tell me?"

"I didn't know how."

A silence passed between us. I don't know what to say and Henry didn't know either. What could he say? He just found out that his best friend was going to die. I ran my fingers through my curls and checked the time on my phone. It was almost 9 pm. Mark was about to come to pick me up. Just then I got a text from Ray.

Ray gun: Did you tell him?

I sighed and put my phone away.

"Henry," I began. "please don't let this change anything between us." Henry looked up.

"How can I not? I just found out my best friend is going to die."

I slowly approached him. "Henry your always going to be my best friend. No matter what happens to me."

"I don't want anything to happen to you." Henry mumbled. "I love you, Charlotte."

"How did he react?" Mark asked me as he drove us to school the next morning.

"Well he didn't cry." I said. "That's good."

"He doesn't even seem like the type to cry. Does he even have tear ducts?"

"Everytime you guys are within 10 feet of each other you start an arguement, how do you know he doesn't cry after?"

"I doubt it." Mark snorted.

Mark pulled into a parking lot outside of the school, but he didn't turn off his car.

"Why won't you get the procedure? I did some research on it. The first patient was a 17 year old boy who was on the verge of death. Afterwords he felt great!" Mark exclaimed.

"I'm sure he did. He couldn't feel anything." I muttered dryly.

"Would rather die than not have any emotions?" Mark questioned.

"A world without feelings isn't a world worth living in."

Henry's POV

"Hey Hart!" I heard shouted behind me. I turned around to see Mark approaching me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"What do you want, Mark."

"I know you know about Charlotte. What do you think?" He questioned.

"How do you think I feel? Like crap."

"I imagine you do. Charlotte's making it worse. She won't even consider getting the procedure." Mark shook his head.

That got my attention.

"What procedure?" I asked.

"You didn't hear about it? There's a cure for Glitches. It basically causes them to not kick the bucket. Charlotte refuses to get it though."

Stuffs about to happen next chapter. Let's hope I don't do a month long hiatus again.
