You are a Gods scream that turns night to day.

A split second is how long you show your face, but you are no coward.

You cause fear in children and adults alike.

Trees see nothing but reds and yellows after your passionate touch and your makes their arms become bony fingers.

Your strike makes houses tremble, snatching our sleep.

You are a beauty to behold.

Some wish they could catch a glimpse of you.

Some follow you, fascinated by you, wanting to understand you, but you will always be a little mysterious and cause caution everywhere.

For you will go everywhere. For you have been everywhere.

Your light has seen the Golden Gate Bridge, Big Ben, Mount Fuji, and the Great Barrier Reef.

You've seen it all a million times, and you'll see it all a million times again.

And I wish I could see the world the way you do.

Going and leaving in a flash, leaving people mystified and terrified.

For sometimes when you kiss the ground we walk on, you leave someone lying there.

A power only you hold.

With a touch of your light, you leave people burned.

Blood and nerves turns into rivers of electricity.

Skin scarred by your brutality leaves behind a fear only animals can know.

So, perhaps you are a God that comes and goes as you wish,

But I'm sure we can humanize you, understand you, and know you.
