Prologue:

The Love Game

Callie stared at me, her light green eyes shimmering as she twirled a piece of her light blonde hair around her finger, her brows furrowed in deep thought. “Hmmm..” She finally muttered as her fingers floated above the keyboard of her sleek white macbook. We had been at this for about an hour trying to figure out rules for the new game we'd just made up, It was a rainy day and we had nothing better to do so of course we used our imaginations and thus The Love Game was created.

“How about two assigned people max.” I said as I thought of rules that would make the game better and more legit. She nodded her head frantically, her blonde curls bouncing around her oval face. “Good one!” She said as her manicured fingers began slamming the keys.

“Also, in the love games you must not fall in love or you lose.” I added as I padded over to my queen sized bed and plopped onto the plush Hello Kitty Comforter, sitting right across from Callie.

“Mhm, that's good too.” Callie muttered as she continued to type furiously on the keys.

Once she stopped typing we both leaned over and gazed at the list we had just created. It was full of rules and regulations and exceptions, all in pretty colored font; which I must say really made it look fun. I couldn't help but hold back a smile as the game finally was coming together. This was going to be fun, I could already tell.

“Piper, you wanna go first or should I?” Callie asked as she tugged on a strand of blonde hair absentmindedly, one of her nervous habits.

“I'll go.” I answered knowing that Callie wouldn't want to go first anyways, she was way to shy with people she didn't know, and didn't like going first for anything.

“Ok you have to assign me two guys, and please be nice!” I said as I stuck my bottom lip out, causing her to burst into laughter, her eyes glimmering in the dim room.

“I give you Carter Banks... and... Chase Santino,” She finally squealed, a devilish look gleaming in her light green eyes. I bit my lip hard knowing this was going to be hard, how could she give me the two most popular guys in the school? “I hate you.” I whined as I looked up at the white crumbling ceiling above her heads. Well atleast she didn't give me a teacher, that would've been really bad.

“So you up for the challenge?” She asked a mischevous smirk plastered across her face as she pushed the laptop off of her and pointed a slim finger at me. I rolled my eyes in response, knowing that this was going to be way harder then both of us ever imagined, I secretly wished I had let her go first now.

“So basically I just stalk these guys for a few months being a total creeper? Easy enough.” I muttered sarcastically as I pushed myself off of the soft queen sized bed and padded along the cold wooden floor to my closet door, if I was going to make a good impression tommorow I might as well look nice.

“Stalk is kind of harsh don't you think? Let's go with admire.” Callie shrugged as she too got up and padded over to where I was standing, in front of my small ; jam packed closet.

“Oh dear..” She sighed as she began throwing pieces of clothing out onto my bed on the other side of the room. “Let The Love Game begin.”
