My throat was all rusty and my throat is also scratchy, I kept on coughing the whole night, I didn't even sleep well last night kasi lagi akong nagigising dahil sa lakas ng ubo ko.
As I heard someone knock on my door. "Hessa, it's kuya." I let him in and kuya heard me coughing badly
"What's wrong?" kuya asked. We don't usually ask if there's something wrong, kasi kahit biological siblings kami, we don't ask if we're okay. And weird nga ng relationship namin ni kuya e.
"Yup, I'm fine" I said while my throat was all scratchy.
"Oh my god! Sister are you alright!?". Nagulat ako dahil biglang sumulpot sa usapan namin si ate Penelope.
Actually, si ate Penelope, she's my step-sister Okay sa totoo lang, real guy siya . Pero mabait rin siya. Our relationship is pretty good, parehas kami ng daddy, pero ng mommies hindi. Basta, our family is happy, but... Complicated
"Yes.. I'm fine po" I shouldn't really talk much, baka lumala pa itong throat ko.
"Ate, please make her rest for a bit, maybe buy a medicine for her throat, it seems scratchy" kuya worriedly said.
Ate Penelope took her cellphone and made a call
"Ano ginagawa mo?" kuya complained
"Shhh.. Manong, can you buy antitussive?.... Well what do you mean what it is!?"
"Ate, I'm fine! Really, you don't ha-" Ate intentionally cut my sentence
"No! You are not fine! I will make you better and you will thank me for that!" ate shouted as she talked back to manong

"Hessa!" nagulat ako nung sumigaw si kuya
"Bingi ka? Kanina pa kami tawag ng tawag sa'yo" sabi ni kuya
"At anong tinatawanan mo diyan?" sinilip ni ate Penelope yung aking cellphone at tinakpan ito.
"Luma-lovelife ka na ha!" masayang sigaw ni ate Penelope, lumaki naman mata ko at nilakihan rin ako ng mata ni kuya, pero mukhang galit siya saakin.
