Jeon Jeongguk

The following two weeks breezed past; it was as if I was stood still in a glass box, the world moving on around me.
Yoongi and I enlisted, and after that, we returned to our daily routines up until this very morning, pretending like everything was back to normal.
Currently I sat beside him, who was asleep on my shoulder, the two of us just two more passengers on the train heading towards the palace.
I peered around, the atmosphere completely mixed - some laughed, excited to be serving King & Country. The guy sat bedside me cried softly to himself, clutching at his shirt as if to avoid a full blown panic attack.

It was a strange morning; after Yoongi's and Hoseok's umpteenth argument, we cleared out of the estate, following everybody else towards the train station. We didn't leave however, without a pep talk from him, and his words still swam around my head, but not in the way water would; like slime, sticking to every crevice of my brain no matter how hard I fought it.

The Dynasty's had your back for a long time now, it's time you had theirs, he said at the end, before Yoongi flipped on him yet again.
I craned my neck, his dark hair falling forward as he moved to lean his head on the suitcase between his legs, snoring just loudly enough for me to hear.
I then tore my eyes from him, following a hubbub further ahead of the carriage, watching as someone got pushed down to the ground. The ones around him laughed, not even bothering to help him up.

Instinctively, I stood up, forcing my way through the crowd to the person on the floor. He was a little roughed up, blood dripping from his nose. "Come on, get up."

I ignored the annoyed voices behind me, helping him to his feet. He barely met my eyes.

"Move; this is nothing to do with you," the ringleader of this mess pushed me aside, and I hit the wall. "be a good Drip and stay out of this."
