LECTURE #21: MORSE CODE

Morse code is code/method for transmitting information in which combinations of "dots" and "dashes" are used to represent letters of the alphabet, numerals, and punctuation marks. Samuel F.B. Morse invented this code for use with his electric telegraph in the mid-1830s and was used extensively for early radio communication beginning in the 1890s. However, with the development of more advanced communications technologies, the widespread use of Morse code is now largely obsolete.
