"daddy! wake up! momma said YOU have to take me to school today! she has to go to work early!" Raleigh, my 6 year old daughter came running in my room and jumping on the bed. "where is mommy baby?" I get up out of bed. "down here!" Raleigh grabs my hand pulling me down the stairs. then I see her. she was frantically running around the living room looking for her keys. " Madeline, your keys are by the bed on the dresser." I smile as I walked into the kitchen. " oh gosh, thank you." she runs up the stairs and in a matter of seconds she runs back down. " baby can you take Ray to school today? I have tons of meetings at work and I'm already late. "
ray is Raleighs nickname.
"of course." I say as I fix Raleigh a bowl of cereal.
" thank you." she runs over to me and gives me a kiss, then leans down and gives Raleigh a kiss on the forehead. " please be good at school today, no sticking crayons in Timothy's sandwiches anymore! I'm tired of his bitch ass mom complaining." she says as she grabs her purse.
"I love y'all! ill see you two tonight!" she blows us a kiss.
" I love you too!" me and ray say as Madeline walks out the door.
Madelines POV
I lie awake with Diego cuddled around me, thinking...
do I love this guy enough to want to deal with him for the rest of my life?
wait.....do I love him? I know I've said it..but do I? he's been with so many girls...what if he's told them all the same things too?
I know he's had it rough...but so have i.. and what he said to me that one night really hurt...does he really think I'm fucked up ?
my train of thought was cut off when I felt Diego shift behind me.
"good morning baby" he said in his most adorable, sweetest, morning voice.
"good morning." I smile, facing him.
