part fourteen

i quickly walked out the house, pulling my phone out to call daniel.

"hello"

"dani, how many kids does your mom have?"

"five, but she put one up for adoption for some reason."

"it's me."

"what?"

"i'm part of your family."

"what do you mean?

"i'm the fifth kid."

"oh my gosh. seriously?"

"why is this all happening at once, daniel?"

"i'm not sure, breathe lauren."

"i'm coming back to la. as soon as possible."

"okay, bye lauren."

i bought a ticket to la as fast as i could, and told them what just happened.

christina gave me a sympathetic look as I packed all my bags. i gave them a hug, and then took off to get a taxi. once i got in i got in and told them where i needed to go.

three hours later:

my plane landed and i got my uber to the why don't we household. as soon as i got to the home i didn't even knock.

"honeys, i'm back" i hollered.

"lauren?" then i heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and got tackled into a group hug.

"what are you doing back so soon," corbun questioned.

"well i came to talk to my brother."

"what?" all but daniel said.

"daniel," i said while grabbing his hand.

i pulled him up and brought him to his room. "we need to talk," i told him. he nodded.

"how did you figure out you're my sister," he asked.

"i was talking to mo- mrs. harris and she said that my moms last name is seavey," i told him.

"so do we tell mom," he asked.

"yes," i responded.

mom, daniel, lauren

"hello?"

"hey momma."

"hey honey. what do you need?"

"mom this is lauren."

"h-hi i'm laur-lauren."

"hi, lauren."

"momma, this is your fifth kid. the one you put up for adoption."

"gasp," (she actually gasped)

"are you okay ma'am?"

"yes, i just thought i would never talk to you again."

"well this is me."

"i'm sorry for putting you up for adoption. would you like to be a part of our family again?"

"i would love too."

"yay. well bye momma."

"goodbye."
